I'd like to share one of my favorite pieces from the end of 2016 with you. 2016 was a year of great difficulty and big change for me, and this piece was done at the height the most emotional part of it. The figure was originally drawn in sadness and anguish, but as the piece progressed so did my life, transforming a difficult time into something of newly found peace and wisdom, represented by the moon and the calming color palate. There is darkness here but also hope and new beginnings.

Painting this helped me through a difficult time, and I hope it manages to stir some emotions in you as well. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments!

Canvas prints available :)

A lovely piece. I like how the texture around the figure gives even more a feel of isolation to the figure, which I believe was your intent. Well done.

Thank you so much!

beautiful work ,,, <3
artists can use the power of sadness to create something new ..

Its true! Art is a great way to channel emotions :)

Really beautiful palette, I think you made a great choice of colors... the blue makes an amazing contrast with the "yellowish" moon!

Although I think the anatomy is a a little bit off =)

Thank you so much for your feedback! :)

Great work! I like the blue shade from dark to light. Very emotional piece, reminds one of me Van Gogh's works.

thank you so much!

Beautiful piece of Art! Keep it up!
