During the (experimental) photography unit of my art course we worked with some black and white film!
Though I feel I get better results with digital photography- the process of developing the film felt more rewarding because I could see the photograph gradually come together as I was using the chemicals to wake it up, in a way.. (a weird use of words to describe this, I couldn't think how else to describe it!)
When doing drawings, I prefer to use a colouring pencil instead of the usual HB pencil- I feel like the drawing looks softer and it seems to flow a lot better this way. Especially if I'm sticking to the same/constant colour palette! Therefore, for this drawing I used a light green pencil for the outline and a slightly darker pencil to reinforce the lines and the add more colour. I also used some gold coloured ink to embellish the drawing- I quite like how it turned out!
The person in the photo is me by the way! I look like I'm crying or something but I'm not :) The original photo has my friends in it too but I didn't want to include them/their faces, especially since I haven't drawn them- so I kept the focus of the photo here on the section I drew.
Thank you for stopping by!
