Illustration: Wild Youth

Hey Steemers, here is an illustration from an on-going series of mine called "Wild Youth."

This one is titled "Widow Maker."

I've always enjoyed deceptive themes, so this series explores that topic. The children in this universe hunt for monsters, usually camouflaged as their prey. I thought the idea of cute kids terrorizing scary monsters would be fun to explore, so most of these illustrations portray a battle of some sort--either before, after or during the confrontation. As I've created more of these, they've gotten more gruesome without me really thinking too much about it. Children being thrown into dangerous situations is sort of unexpected, and I think that's what I like about the premise -- sometimes the children are victorious, other times the monsters...bonus points if your own interpretation of this series are different from my own!
