Despite the small population of the village of Fedoskino, the territory is located "Fedoskino factory of miniature painting." At this enterprise, the creation of works of art are handled by highly skilled masters.
The first production arose in 1795, when the merchant PI Korobov organized in the village he bought a peak production - the production of lacquered army visors.

I know these painted boxes. They are very popular with tourists even in souvenir shops in St. Petersburg. Sometimes the prices for these boxes are very high.

What is important is that this is truly Russian art, it lives and is very popular.
