Keep On Truckin'

Hello, mt fellow Steemians!
Wanted to let you in on a little drawing I did for fun, which is featured on my teepublic.com account (where you can get it, or here if you ask me). the idea came from the recent SpaceX heavy launch in which Elon Musk sent a freaking TESLA car to space! but most of you already know it. the dummy "astronaut" rides in outer space to the tune of the late Bowie's "Starman".
I thought about all the man-made space debris floating around in low orbit, and how it's beginning to be dangerous to launch satellites and stuff. wonder if this car means humans have begun to litter outer space as well :D

Also, a bit of the process:

1. I used the modeling first approach that I've shown in a previous post (https://steemit.com/art/@uv10/blender-as-a-reference-tool-for-artists)
   And posed two meshes to look like this:
   
   I did cube-model the Tesla chassis on the left. the right one I got from ThePefDispenser on blendswap.com. note that I'm not making a commercial use of the model, and I'm using it just as a reference tool. and my design is LOOSELY based on the model.
   So yeah. I know it seems like a tedious workflow to say the least, but hear me out: it actually SAVES me time on composing an image, and it makes up for my lacking in anatomy knowledge. like having a modeling clay, a mannequin and a camera- but without all of those and just a computer. I've made a "GL render" of the viewport.

2. I've made a sketch following the render:

1. I've placed the image in Adobe Illustrator and inked the sketch over with the pen tool. simple lines. I would have made it more stylized but , unfortunately, I've 'misplaced' my Wacom tablet pen, so I drew line by line with a mouse. :(

But that's okay, I love wasting time...
