Video games are art?

in art •  7 years ago

We must consider video games as an art form not only because of the beautiful appearance and colorful characters of some titles, which demonstrate the talent of an endless number of cartoonists and designers; but also because videogames tell us stories, and in a way that no other medium or art could surpass, or even equal.
Art is that which manages to transmit something to you. Happiness, sadness, fear, anguish ... If a game is capable of transmitting that to you, and if it is able to make you feel close to its characters, that you feel what they feel, and suffer when they suffer, then you are facing a magnificent game that, Without a doubt, it is a work of art.
