If you've got a few hundred extra Bitcoin or a few thousand Ethereum lying around that you don't know what to do with, you'll have a chance to bid on a few Andy Warhol paintings.
Thanks to Dadiani Fine Art and the Vision of the founder, Eleesa Dadiani, an Ethereum smart contract has been set up to accept bids and determine the lucky winner of this valuable artwork. One painting has been valued at $5.6 Million. The reserve price is only $4 Million.
Dadiani also had the foresight to put the artwork on a blockchain in order to verify identity and authenticity and ownership, using the Maecenas Fine Art blockchain.
This is not the first time this has been done. Selling expensive things and verifying them with blockchain is becoming more popular worldwide. These paintings are probably the most expensive and famous art that that have employed cryptocurrency and the blockchain.
Watch out Keynesian Haters. You say Bitcoin has no value? Well, not only does it hold the potential to free Humanity from Monetary Enslavement, now you can buy fine art and other expensive things with it!
Looks like your Hatred is being exposed as less and less rational. I'm sure you'll argue that Debt is far more valuable than Bitcoin. You forget that people have to pay back debt. People can't pay debt thru inflation like the government does.
Ah, but that is a rant for another Steemit Post.
