Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #169 'Seven'

The name of this art photograph is: 'Seven'

As those of you who follow my art-photography blog for some time, know very well that I love the minimalistic approach and very often search for simple and clean motives. This is definitely one of those. Seven shadows and seven light leaks are creating an interesting perspective on an uneven gravel surface. It wouldn't be half as good if the surface was even. I love the curved and uneven messy lines, appearing as if painted with a brush.

Smooth, subdued colour toning plays an important factor in this photograph. Try looking for modest hues of bluish, greenish, yellowish and light purple, mixing with each other to create a specific look and feel of this photograph. The shadow and light direction is also important. Lines go from the bottom left corner toward the top right adding an uplifting feeling of positive progress. Unless one needs to convey some negative or blocking thought, this is quite an appropriate way to compose.

Why seven? Seven is a number emanating from everything. Every religion has it and every scientist is aware of its importance at the same time. Wherever one digs, in whichever field of life or existence, number seven will be there. Smiling at us, mysteriously.

Many have tried, but nobody ever proved why or how this happens to be. Why there are seven colours of the rainbow? Seven continents? Seven days in a week? Seven heavens? Seven energy centres of the human body in eastern medicine? Seven notes on a music scale? Why is number seven taking a significant place in every of the world's religions?

No idea. But it is so!

Enjoy! :)

It's indeed minimalistic, but the uneven surface made it very interesting. Nice shot!

Very nice photography.
All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsions, habit, reason, passion, desire.

Interesting!

I can tell that we, Jews, have a lot of meaning to the number 7 - it resembles the wholeness that is still in the realm of the perceived world - God created the world in seven days, the seventh day is holy etc. (8 is the wholeness above the perceivable but it's a long story :)

what amplifies the feeling of flow in this photo is that the only material in the photo is gravel, pictured in such way it almost looks like sand - every little piece kind of merges with the others and together they build a somewhat smooth surface. the eye is also carried in a prompt manner from left to right with the narrowing shadows so the surface looks even smother.
but - if we take a second look we can see that those are actually separate little stones.
If we want to take something out of it - it could be a metaphor of everyday's life - we flow with our days, day after day, and it's ok - it's how we live. but - we should remember to take a second look from time to time and find the significance, separate moments that happen now and then and cherish them. it might be what keeps us flowing with life full steam.

Velimir, thanks for making me contemplate some :)

Hey. So true the number 7 has a important role. Thank you this was a great read. I loved it.

Welcome Guys to the Art Photography SEVEN by Our Lovely Friend @velimir

Let me throw light on this great Art work in my own way;
Well Guys! This photo was taken on Moon back in 1626 :P by James Bond 007. That is why Veli put it's name as Seven Art. James Bond has a very big Flat there on the Moon in which he has Seven rooms. He also has Seven different Lenses for a single camera. This photo is about Rainbow actually. Level of gravity and acceleration on Moon is really different than our Earth. That is why we can't see rainbow with two eyes for this we need one and half eyes or a Half eye is enough :D :D :D
Believe you me you really don't need SEVEN eyes to feel rainbow :P

P.S: Jokes apart @velimir Nice work Man, Keep sharing such beautiful and different Art with Steemians

Believe you me i counted for several times number of lines is 5 :P :D

Stay Blessed, Steem On!

I am very curious about seven, why with seven? What's with seven? Cristiano Ronaldo even use the number seven 😀😀. but I personally also like the seven, how about you. thanks my friend already sharing

Beautifully composed and captured. The idea standing there makes the curves so lively in the imag .Superb composition, light, tones and delightful curves !!! Congratulations, my friend ! Wonderful movement with these shapes and beautiful tones too ..Very dramatic and beautifully symmetrical.

Man this is lovely I keep admiring your works, one day I could end up like you. Thanks @velimir for sharing.

Most Bible scholars believed that 'SEVEN' signifies completeness or perfection, for example the "seven sprit of God" and "the seven lamp stand" in the book of Revelation. Hence It seems that the seven shadow and seven light leaks in your art-photography is way the picture chooses to express itself that you deed a complete and perfect job. Don't you think so?

any clue, why this rt is named "7" ?

You need to read @mohammedfelahdi ;) Or just look at the photo, There are seven shadows and seven light gaps :)

Why seven? Seven is a number emanating from everything. Every religion has it and every scientist is aware of its importance at the same time. Wherever one digs, in whichever field of life or existence, number seven will be there. Smiling at us, mysteriously.

This is so true.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Happy Steeming

Good Job @ Mr.velimir sir. As you said the tittle seven is correctly apted according to concept.Super👌

Fine granules are also adding to the beauty...
And notice two vertical pole shadows(no I think 3 pole shadows, third one is way above to be easily observed)...

good evening ... the time that I read you and support you, you love minimalistic photos in which you make sense
this photo bears the shades of different colors, but the main meaning is the shadow, so they are directly related to the name.
The number seven is really magical and carries within itself a latent acronym
Thank you

Lovely shot. Nice and simple. I should play more with light in this way - i'm too busy shooting mountains!

Amazing!

I saw the shadow there is only 6, what is the reason @velimir say seven?

Wow amazing Photography Art and, Nice explanation. I truly love seeing this kinda art, Thanks for sharing @velimir

Great Picture man

That was really impressive... the unevenness comes out like an illusion you can't judge its from a wavy linear opening or because of the uneven ground...and your approach is the best...

Sometimes I think I will never understand art :c

That illustrates the difference between an artist and a picture taker. I'd have walked right past that photo and the world would be worse off for it!

Thanks for sharing your craft and your passion with us.

excelente fotografia

I still don't get much why the name is "seven". Maybe I'm not that artistic haha

When seeing the picture as a small icon in my feed I thought I was looking at an arial photo of a corn field.

Is this photo original and natural photo? Did you use the effect? And very good. :)

This is very visually appealing, and I'm not even exactly sure what is drawing me to it! Bang up job chap!

Wonderful photo, as usual. I clicked on this one at first, as in the thumbnail I thought it was fields of lavender, which I love and makes me long for warm Summers, but was pleasantly surprised by the actual image. Really well done and I like the title too.

Amazing pic, I think I have what to learn from You!

you have some great photographs :)

like a zebra)

There are many things that I feel because you've found and explained about the concept of 7 that I didn't normally think about on different units. Velimir, you took a photo that was not selected, so it makes me even more attractive. Good! :D

Good work here, keep going.

It was amazing...!!!
Concert photography is all about timing. From showing up at the venue early and getting your PhotoPass on time to emailing concert promoters to get the photo pass, every aspect of a photoshoot when it comes to concert photography relies on timing , when time is not properly managed photographers will miss the photoshoot entirely and at the end of the day that looks bad if you're working for someone who was relying on those images for a blog or news story. If you can not manage time well, concert photography may not be you're bag.

I think this is a simple work, but it contains tremendous meanings

let's help each other, follow and vote me, please velimir

nice post

Hmm what if you did shadow photo art?
Like creating scenaries with shadows and photo-shooting them?
That would be really cool imo!

It all goes to show that a photographer merely paints with light... it is already there... just needs to be captured

Flag for disagreement on rewards.

What do you think about the number 13

you have quality pictures and i am in love with it. More so, Picture speaks a lot especially when they are colorful and catchy to the eyes.

BEAUTY + RISK = ART :)

You are a creative photographer

I would've liked the iamge more if the perspective was a little different I think. Cool shot, but a lower angle I think would've added drama to it and more perspective - the lines all reaching back to a more singular point and maybe you'd catch just a mysterious hint of the time of day/ light source. Just my two cents :)

Numbers are very important in religion. They are symbolic. Great pic and I love simplicity, colors and textures. Very nice.

@velimir unique photography....are these shadows cast by a fence?

I love your thoughtful photographs and explanations. You certainly have a gift to be able to see shadows the way you do. Thanks for sharing!

very like ur work !

will be back to watch your photo series
