'Gone Now'

I didn't like coming across this scene. Many children would be happy to have a monster sized Teddy bear sitting in their bedroom. I found this sorry one that somebody just blatantly left it in a dumpster. The first thing I usually think about is: why? There could be a bunch of valid reasons, starting with the emotional ones and ending in completely reasonable ones. But, whatever the reason was, it could have been done differently. How about leaving it by the dumpster to start with? A poor kid would be thankful.

In this photograph, the bear is a sad symbol of passing childhood. The passing time inevitably brings change to everyone's life and old things are gradually replaced with the new ones. Nothing can be done about it. As they say, nothing lasts forever but the change itself. One needs to accept that irrefutable fact because there is no other sane way of dealing with it. Life can only move forward in time. If there is such thing as time...

Colors are reduced to mainly green with a small accent of red that I added to complement the green. The rest is quite colourless and very appropriate to the desired mood. The light is diffused, rare shadows are soft. Even if it doesn't appear so on the first sight, the image is quite dark. The Teddy bear's expression is sad. It appears as if he's sitting in disbelief as to what has happened. I took the photograph from another angle, too. But, believe it or not, Teddy's expression is different from another angle and it does not fit the idea at all.

I also had a Teddy bear once. It just came to my mind. Wonder where and when did that yellow fellow leave my life? But, as I already said, this road only leads forward, there are no U-turns...

Enjoy going forward. It is the only direction, anyway! :)

Was it actually positioned like that? It looks very deliberate, with a strong message: "I don't deserve to be thrown away! Someone pick me up, please. I need help!"

It's epic he almost looks alive!!

Cute guy 😍

I am still keeping my teddy at my age. I still buy teddy. It gives me comfort. 😊😊😊

I left my teddy bear in the Philippines...

everyone loves teddy bear

white bear so amazingly adorable!

You perfectly analyzed this photo - I guess it's also because you took it in a way that will amplify the desire message and effect - there is nothing to add in that aspect.

I would take a guess that in your other photo the bear does look sad but also accepting - as you mentioned in your post, we grow and we change and develop ourselves into something more whole and complicated, so it might be nostalgic and a little sad - but we do have to keep the past behind and concentrate on the present and on the future - dwelling in the past might blind us from looking at the present clearly.
If you will look - the teddy bear hand's looks like he is catching the upper part of the garbage bin and closes it on himself in acceptance of the fact that his time is over and the present belongs to others.

All the same - we should still keep our past memories and our childish behavior - when we will have our own children - it will come handy! so maybe the bear should be kept in the garage, until the time comes he is needed again :)

I had a teddy bear, too, now that you mention it. Last time I saw him I'm thinking I was probably 8 and it was pretty raggedy.

Another great photograph, it is dark, you captured the mood perfectly. My first reaction was "Did the child die?" That's dark.

Another great piece. Your works always make me think and remember. Exactly as designed, I'm thinking. Thank you.

o nice

The photo looks sad and symbolizes farewell to old things. The bear, as it were, waved his hand to say goodbye. The photo can also be interpreted as a farewell to a loved one. We are all guests in this world and therefore we all will sooner or later leave it. Therefore, live worthily.
You can also tell about parting with friends or a close circle. As the saying goes: People come and go - it's all about the feet :)
But in fact, there is nothing sad in the rastavanii. We have to put up with this fact - nothing lasts forever. Therefore, live here and now and appreciate what you have.
Thank you

I agree that it could have been done differently. Many children or maybe teens/adults/seniors too would be happy if they could have it. This bear reminds me of the toys of Toy story, where Andy became a teenager and throw his special and loved toys to trash. It really looks sad, but I am sure, it would smile, if he could have another chance.
We can replace our things, that we don't like or don't need anymore or whatever, with others, newer ones, but that doesn't mean, that we should leave those things in the dumpster or throw it away. There are many people around us, who can't afford stuff and would really appreciate it.
I myself would pick this teddy bear out of the thrash and wash it and give it to some children.
Nice post :)

Sometimes we come across things that come to our attention and take a picture and give us a very important subject and enter into a meaningful discussion Da.
This picture, for example, makes us think about things that we thought about. Who put this bear in the garbage can is an affordable family, maybe their son got a better game than this bear, and his fate would have been if he had been humane. What was thrown in this box? There are poor families whose children need such a hatchet. This game is just an example of things we throw and people need

Great work that is....fine art that
the photo also looking very fine....
photography is art of anyones life..if any body can gather the knowledge about that he will a famous man in life....your work is like famous people....
carry on your activity
best wish and thanks for sharing that

This reminds me of my childhood. Just like you i don't remember when my Teddy left me lol. I do know that my childhood looks like forever ago. Kind of miss the problem free childhood life haha.

Cómo reaccionaría quien lo consiguió ? Ojalá que el peluche haya sido encontrado por un niño que quería tener un oso de peluche y sus padres no tenían dinero para comprarlo.

It actually shows the sad bear
But the question is : What did you do with it? Did you leave him there or take him with you?

well...I am to old to own a Teddy :D

@velimir For children, Teddy bear is best ever enjoyable gift to them. I saw most of the kids like Teddy so so much. Even they love to teddy doll to show the love to the bear. Thanks for sharing.

i think the kid who dump that teddy bear found a new stuff..the fact as of today's generation ,kids are more entertained on gadgets. :) @velimir
nice post..kept it up :)

I really like your concept of originally art. It encourages me to do the same. I primarily do my video and photo taking with my samsung Galaxy S6. Decent Megapixel but not what I call a photographer's tool of the trade. I know that a photo is not even half what it is by the tool used but the photographer himself. Someone with an old windup kodak disposable film can be a great artist. I want to start posting these type of "original photos." Thank you for the encouragement.

This photo reminds me of the big teddy bear I bought for my small nieces some time ago! I was very sad to see that their mother gave away my teddy to someone else!
The teddy might be sad to be abandoned. I was speechless and dare not ask any question!
Your photo of this sad teddy is very poignant.

This teddy bear looks sad @velimir . My suggestion is to you that take it with you. LOL.

Very cute teddy.

Nice shot! My first impression was that the teddy bear was on a rollercoaster, or a train, on a travel. This is what the image triggered: emotions. In my opinion that is what art is about. Thanks for sharing!

So cute! I'm glad I didn't miss your post. I didn't even realize it's in a dumpster. What a pity.

Several scenarios came to mind. Here's the best one:

  • A guy gets a teddy for a girl who he likes. Things don't work out. She clears out stuff connected to the guy. Feels pity for the bear and so poses him hoping that someone else might pick him up.

Oh! This is a sad story. Since you have, why don't you love it well.

good photograph. in this picture it is sad. but as you said no U turn. there is no child without Teddy bear

Thanks for this panda photography sharing...... i appreciate this post. i wait still your next post dear friend .... resteemit done

I think its doll. But so sooo cute

might have fleas, the saddest bear in the world

呆萌。cute

Wrong Opinions We must accept the undeniable object because there is no other sane way of dealing with it. Life can only move forward in time. That's how to receive and live life well.

Seeing the poor thing in the dumpster is heartbreaking. He looks so sad. Didn't think I would feel so much for a Teddy bear.

Very nic post.

There are many companies around the world, that take useless and scrapped stuff, modify it and get it as good as new & sell

same should be done by orginisations
and then donate to needy people

Am I the only one who thinks these are just average photos that anyone could take?

There is nothing special about them. Anyone who is liking these photos could go out, take their camera out of there pocket and take a photo.

Just being honest. Maybe I don’t get the “art”.

We are living in the worl of adult where is no space for children, but we forgot once we vere children.

Do you like teddies at this stage of age? lol.
Just kidding. By the way this teddy bear looks nervous. But your post is on top of steemit.

Best velimir

Good morning friend your precious post has impressed me,

Thanks for sharing @velimir. It is true that as we travel through the journey of life, somethings will lose their value to us while others will gain value.

if friend you do not know how many children would like to have even one like those and little one. I do not know why many people do not give away the things they do not use to poor people prefer to throw them away, but they say the facts speak of people

Excelente amigo

amazing photography

chubby bear lol

wow so cute teddy bear #photography, loved it 😍😍 share more with us like this one. thanks for the post.

Sad story. Same thing with clothes that our children grow out of. Why not bringing it to the orphan home rather than just throwing it as trash? Imagine the feelings of a poor child looking at this scene who can’t even think of having such toys. When my son grows out of his clothes I usually bring them to church for lonely mothers without means of living who have nothing to put on their children. There are so many people that will be happy to have what we don’t need anymore

Aww, I would like to have the bear and give it to the less fortunate child.
