Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #54 'The Green Door'

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

The name of this art photograph is: 'The Green door'

This one is interesting for its colour balance. The vibrant green sunny part of the door evens out all of the other parts of the image and creates harmony. The vanilla wall works a miracle with the door. The vibrant green is even more accentuated by the white stone door frame. When we add the overall patina which creates nice realistic surfaces, and the ruined part of the wall, we can say this is an ambient piece per se.

I know you guys are used to read a story about the piece, but there is no special story to go with this one. It is a purely an ambient photograph one might put on a wall in the kitchen. Green eases the strain in the eyes :)

Enjoy!

Does it raise any thoughts or feelings for you?

If you have a suitable place to hang it - let me know. I love when my work fulfils its intended purpose. I plan to make no more than 7 copies in total but could also make only one. I make prints on photo canvas. For further information drop me a note.

great saturation on the door. Where was this shot taken? and making prints on photo cnavas is very cool. Im not sure if ive ever seen this before. How oes it play with the texure @velimir?

hey buddy, yea it is quite a new technique, looks quite pleasing if done right.. however there is a wide range of canvases. I use the one with soft texture.

wow. this sounds really interesting. my parents are painters and I dabble in photo and video. I would love to see the canvas in person. how long have you been doing this btw @velimir?

25-30 years? :D

wow. an old pro I guess! It shows. Always enjoy your work @velimir. Thanks for sharing again.

I rather like what it did to the texture! Almost makes it look like a painting.

Yes, it does for sure. This techinique is really cool. Never heard of it before!

There is no arguing with that, it's an intense green!

hahahaaha :)

Bravo majstore :)

A good example of a photo taken care of and well described, the green door is wonderful, it is also my favorite color. :)
