It’s all in the knees

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

It’s my first time doing a knee study. They’re actually really hard to get right so I did some erasing here and there. It’s interesting to see how the wrong line direction can change the whole image. I’m learning to love them.

Drawing curves are fun for me and maybe that’s why I enjoy drawing eyes. I’m hoping that once I get familiar with each body part then I can combine the whole image and finally start drawing full figures.

Knee caps are so interesting to shade/sketch in. I know I still have a bunch of anatomy books that I’ve got saved in a basket, waiting to be purchased. I’ll get them eventually since I’m not in a huge rush.

I felt more confident going into my second page of studies. I found it easier to sketch out blocks and then define the lines as I go. It’s similar to how I do fingers. This page came out softer and natural looking.

Thanks for checking out my studies!

I’m thinking about doing a personal Q/A, what do you think? 🦊

Do we get to ask naughty questions?

Naughty naughty 💜

Hahah, you’re an exception so you can ask me whatever you want.

A personal q&a would definitely be fun to read! Wondering how you got into art and developed all those skills! 😊

I’ll definitely give it a go then!

ok I'll check it out! Thanks for letting me know :D

They're looking really good. Me likes it.

Thank you!

I hope you do a Q&A soon! In case you do here’s my questions, is it harder to draw men’s bodies than women’s? Which do you prefer?💜

I just made my Q& A post. This is a good question!

Knees and feet, veeery hard to draw ..It's a challenge to draw them, good work @vermillionfox!

Thank you! I definitely tried my best. Feet are really hard to draw! I think it is because of the bones and tendons!
