Smoking girl drawing with commentary

I spent most of my late afternoon and evening trying to write this post! This afternoon @kommienezuspadt, @guthrie and I went out for sushi and took a relaxing walk to Universe Games to purchase a specific Magic the Gathering card. Afterwards, I dropped @kommienezuspadt off at Caffetto so he could hang out with @tarotbyfergus because today is his birthday! 🎉

I had planned on taking @guthrie, my nieces and nephew to a park to enjoy the day, but there wasn't enough time. Instead, we made a thirty minute drive to my sister's house so the kids could hang out and play. I thought my biggest obstacle would be with the four younger brats but no, it was my phone going off with calls and text messages.

🤔 Strange how my phone goes off when I least expect it.

I spent most of my time doing a bunch of random things.

My first task was helping my sister-in-law's mother send text messages to inform multiple people about an upcoming event that she was hosting. She wanted me to take a 'nice' photo of the invitation. She did not want to actually mail it to her guests because technology was so much faster. I asked if we should make a Facebook event instead but she declined, saying that a quick phone call after sending the image invites would give it a sweet personal touch. I did what she asked since I've got an unlimited amount of patience.

I ended up downloading the Scannable App, which basically turns your phone into a scanner when launched. While I was in the middle of explaining to her how texting works- my phone starts buzzing with messages. I was having a hard enough time understanding her words because of her regional accent and I wasn't going to break my concentration now. I had to flip my phone over to fight the temptation since it's also extremely rude to ignore an elder family member.

If you're interested in watching me doodle and mess around with paints then click on the video. 👆🏼

It took me a few tries to record the audio but I ended up finding a quiet area outside on the front steps. I could hear baby talk in my first few recordings but they were too adorable to be frustrated over!

The day ended well enough. I got to hang out with family, the kids were well behaved and I eventually responded back to all the people who were blowing up my phone. Yep, a very successful day.

Thanks for checking out these sketches and another one of my videos!! 🦊

At first glance, I thought this was a Faye Valentine abstract drawing. What with the short blue hair and the smoking 😁

😍 not my intention but now I see it! I'll have to do a fanart sketch of her now!

This is so cool!

Thanks! It was fun to doodle!

Thats lovely. Looks like fashion design stuff.

I'm a fashion lover and I'm actually thinking about creating a few garments. I need to actually make the commitment.

I'm sure you would be good at it. It's just finding the time and staying motivated. I took a bit of a break but now have loads of steemit art to drop...

Yeah! It probably will happen. My dreams are haunting me and I image myself making the loveliest dress. Can't wait to see your upcoming posts. I'm trying to get myself moving with more sketches also.

nice. consider joining Steemarket and Steemarket Art Contest, if you want ;)

I'll look into it! :D

what do you use for the painting?? whats your hardware?

I've got it listed. I'm using an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil on the Procreate App for iPad. :)

That is dope, I think I will look into getting an ipad pro and pencil if i can hook it up to photoshop via pc

It's kind of it's own thing. Not like a Wacom tablet. You can learn about the details here

Yeah, I been wanting to go digital for some time now, thanks for the link -- Much Appreciated !

You're welcome and good luck!

I see what you did there with the smoke. ;) Anyway, great drawing. I should invest in an apple pencil (or just a stylus) one day. Is the app similar to Photoshop?

Good eye! Yeah, that was an accident that I let happen. The Apple Pencil is fantastic and the App is really easy to use. I'm not too familiar with photoshop. I tried finding a short walk through for the App but it's impossible to find. They have a cool website so you can look around here.

Amazing !!! I ´m inspired

That's good! We as artists can continue to inspire each other!

Nice art. The smoke has the steemit logo on it, how do you make the gif for the progress just curious. I can apply that in my paintings

I just downloaded a gif maker on my iPad and my phone. Then you can easily upload your images or videos.

thanks i will try it out on my next post

Good luck!

Love the drawing, very clever and commendable despite the interruptions, and it was an honourable thing to do, helping your sister in laws Mum. We oldies need all the help we can get with mobile phones, and computers.

I'm always happy to lend a hand. :)
