Danny refered to his work as a passionate dance on canvas. He has painted many other famous portraits live to
audiences, ranging in size from hundreds to hundreds of thousands. Denny most well known for his performance in front of 300,000 people at the Woodstock '94 concert, along with the Woodstock Festival, Denny shared the main stage with a group of diverse music acts, including Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Melissa Etheridge, and Metallica.

Dent was born in Oakland, California to a family of artists and graduated from Oakland High School.
