As you will know recently I started this section of artist inspiration in which I will share one of my favorite illustrator artists, which inspires and motivates me every day with his incredible works.

The artist, inspiration of the month, is the wonderful Italian artist;
Alfred Basha.

An incredible Albanian-born illustrator / designer who has lived for almost 10 years in Treviso, a city not far from Venice, where he has studied at the IUAV Industrial Design School. Who draws incredible works of art with black ink that will capture your attention and take you beyond the image.

Alfred Basha opens a meditative passage to give us an idea of his inner world, full of surrealist projections and metamorphosis. The poetics of this talented visionary illustrator shapes imaginary stories using pen and paper, chosen for their intrinsic and primordial expressiveness.

Art & Style

His art is characterized mainly by bringing a surrealist air in all his illustrations as well as integrating and combining figures of different animals creating a kind of metamorphosis between them.

Among the materials most commonly used by this excellent illustrator is the use of ink in all his illustrations, either using pencils or rapidographs creating works with sketch-like endings or ink sketches, giving it a very organic style.

This talented artist releases his muse mainly at night, where his imagination and creativity come to life, he is a lover of bright contrasts where no blow is similar to the previous or the next.

Basha describes his illustrations as:

"Based on the animal world and humanity, poetically transformed into mutant creatures that are directed towards a surrealist space".

In his illustrations there is always a very marked combination of animals and natural elements such as trees, branches and leaves to create their beautiful drawings, is inspired mainly by nature and its surroundings, as well as quiet spaces.

A few years ago, thanks to the skills of his drawing, he founded a t-shirt brand called "Push and Up", which creates a new conception of graphics for his collections, as well as Alfred is a member of a great art project / brand called Anjavy, where young artists create a unique work with ink ranging from T-shirts to iPhone cases and mugs, all sold online from their online store, so take a look.

In addition to the clothing projects, he also sells his illustrations on him personal page as well as making murals indoors creating atmospheres and atmospheres that are totally original and very creative.
