My first attempt at drawing a portrait

in art •  7 years ago

When I was first getting in to drawing last summer, one of the first things I drew was this portrait. I was very impressed with me self because I never really tried to draw before. I would doodle every once in a while at school but never actually put any effort into it.

If you have NEVER drawn before than this is very good. You seem to have a good grasp of light and shadow. Keep at it. You have a talent that can blossom into something.

Thank you. I should probably try to do this more. I've been mostly focused on drawing cartoon characters since then.

Focus on whatever your heart is drawing you to focus on. If drawing cartoons is your passion right now then embellish that.

I like this portrait, Its full of details especially the lips they're really well made I hope your first attempt won't be the last:)

Awesome portrait. She looks slightly distressed; is there deeper meaning here?
