Over the past year, I have begun participating in the painted rocks fad, which is an art-based scavenger hunt project where you decorate rocks and stones, and leave them in plain sight for people to discover. Often times they are tagged with unique hashtags and linked back to regional Facebook groups. This fad took over the US over the summer of 2017 and the trend looks to continue.
