This beastie was a lot of fun to do. The Chimera from the 1st Edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual was always one of my favourites. The gorrgon was always pretty cool too. So it was a lot of fun to get to combine both of those critters into this beastie for Adventures Dark and Deep bestiary. Enjoy and happy gaming!

The Chimera was always the strangest beast. It is as if Homer was having a weak moment and had to add-lib :) You can almost envision him performing the Iliad epic in front of hundreds of people and then suddenly he slips in the meter:
"he first commanded Bellerophon to kill that savage monster, the Chimaera, who was not a human being, but a goddess, for she had the head of a lion and the tail of a serpent, while her body was that of a... a... ermh a GOAT!"
