About a mounth ago I went to the forest with @sature and another friend. I collected a leaf and kept it at home until yesterday when I finally found the right mood to draw it. I hope you like the result and the style. As I mentioned in a view posts before this technique of just drawing the outlines and adding some shadows and light reflections is new to me. I really like the results and that I can finish drawings much quicker than when I was just working with pencils. Here is an example of a similar drawing only with pencils(it is a creased piece of paper).

Sorry it is about 6 years old and I don't find a quality phot of it anymore. No idea what happened to it eather... But you can see the difference in the way it is worked out. Of course practice has improved my skills and I can pick up the shapes much faster. But the first drawing has only taken an hour or something like that while the second style took me several days(which made me fight with the changing light situations and the creased paper that moved to much during the time. Of course it depends on what you want to do with your drawing. In my case I love to observe the beauty of the shapes in nature. That is why I love to draw complex objects from the natural world or creased things like fabrics.

To draw the fold throw on this picture took me several days too. As you might notice there is a different feeling to those wrinkles. This has to do with the subject I used for the drawing. It is drawn from a photograph. This changes the perspective pretty much. I like it too but I notice that it does not help me as much as drawing from a more dimensional object. This is also like this when I draw portraits. I can only improve my artistic skills by drawing the "real" thing.
