How often do we hear, "I wish it was Friday!"? Probably all week long except said day, and as soon as we notice, the weekend has gone by and we are stuck on Monday again. I propose we live out each Tuesday, the alternative being spending our lives waiting for something that just goes by.
Speaking with people I have come to notice just how much we are influenced in our everyday lives without fair justification. We become brooding people and that somber mind set seeps through our pores and pollutes everything and everyone around us. How can we hope to be productive in that conditions?
We would be happy if we let go, it is a destructive tendency that borders self sabotage. Do you realize we are conditioning ourselves to hope for something instead of living the present? Phrase in such manner it seems vague, but it is true in so many ways… It is evident when we see a child long for a toy, instead of playing with the ones within reach? How often did we work towards something we wanted only to realize it was not so great when we reached our goal?
Steering back home, why don’t we live out each Tuesday? Lets wake up happy, get a nice breakfast and ready ourselves to be bundle of energy. Schedule activities, set aside time to study, go to the gym, bake cookies, do all those things you are postponing till the weekend. A weekend that ends up being to short, crammed with pendings, were you do not manage to rest at all.
It seems difficult to wake up during the week eager to go about your day, so here goes my, awfully childish, yet effective tip: take the puppy approach. Tails wagging all day long no matter what, burst of energy and naps when needed, always happy and the reason those around them have a smile on their faces.
Perhaps you cannot envision an adult behaving this way, but that is just because you are clouded with concerns. There are people around that go about their days happy, they allow themselves to work and to rest as well, phones and devices away, the puppy naps do not include electronics. It’s okay to relax, but is unacceptable to squander breaks and end up in worse shape that in the start. The time is for the mind, I know you feel tired, but your body can handle it, it is the brain needs to unplug.
Face each challenge with a smile, be grateful you have a chance to improve yourself and seize it wholeheartedly. Chance a few seconds and meditate what can you learn from this opportunity, and do not to go through it mechanically, you are not a robot nor should you aspire to be one. A human improves itself with activity, a robot withers and needs a replacement part, we are better.
