Its not easy to start on online job.
Being an artist online looks to me like the most difficult of them all!
Still, I want to succeed doing what I like to earn money and not have to sell my soul in a regular struggling job. A lot of online marketeers are telling with a smile on their face that doing your passion in life is enough to get noticed. But I doubt that this is true, in the meanwhile the online ocean is so big that it only brought me frustration.
On this moment I am working on my global outcome. In the past was selling my art in my mother thong quite easy but in the meanwhile I live in Hungary so since I am a world citizen I want also to be a world artist. Oke, reading this now I wrote this, feels a bit above my own expectations. But you have to aim high, don't you?
So how do I want to reach this goal? Good question!
After looking trough some online information how to get known as an artist, I found out that the advice is to start a blog and involve your fans in your work. Its important that your customers know "who you are and what drives you in your expression".
Also social media is important but I think I was focusing to much on facebook alone.
Even my own website I don't posses.
I experience also some inner issues about only selling my art on Etsy. I never understand why people only place their eggs in one basket. So I experiences in 2004 how ebay changed his prices overnight from 0.01-0.10c/piece and this crashed my business in one night. I don't like this monopoly of business that actually don't work for you but only think about their own money.
Maybe its a good thing that I don't have a lot of financial resources to do a lot of paid advertisement. I once made my health business great by never have to pay for advertisement. I can do this again! On this moment internet is bigger than ever but it still has to be possible to reach your goal without expensive advertisement.
I am also not a traditional artist so having expositions isn't the way for me I think. I am thinking about exposing on youtube but that's a totally different organ for me to start. I am totally open for suggestions. I think this steemit community is bigger than any community I was in before. Maybe you have the golden tip?
