Spider Coccoon

in artisteem •  6 years ago  (edited)

There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D

Thank you, sweet @yanes94 :)

You're welcome @veryspider ;)

Beautiful work! Hb and 2b....In my opinion, I guess, too, that hb is a bit harder than 2b so it would express slightly more brittle... Like that? Anyway looks so lovely❤️ and her hair I wish I had that slight curl like the child in your drawing.

I feel like a broken record praising your linework all the time, but I just really cannot get over the confidence that oozes from every single mark on the page. Yet the subject matter is so delicate and beautiful with a calming daintiness. It all comes together just so wonderfully..!!

aaaaaaa thank you so much, @painted-bees <3 you are so so so so so nice * ___ *

Really cool sketch here! :) You've got some crazy talent with the pencil. Seeing your sketches makes me want to get better. Do you feel that way when you look at other peoples work sometimes?

Thank you, and yep, I always get super motivated and inspired when I see other people's stuff :D :D :D Of course !!!

Nice drawing i like those deep eyes

Posted using Partiko Android

Thank you very much :) So kind of you !

Nice work once again, Spider. I like how you're looking to use new materials.

If you havent done it previously, I recommend trying out 3-4 pencils on the same piece and mapping out your values beforehand so youre able to give your pieces great definition and range

man, i'm like.... learning so much stufffffff .... i've been mostly drawing with one thing for an entire picture, or, at the most 2, if you count that sometimes i ink the pencils with the micron pen afterwards.

what are "values"? :O

I love the expression! And the flower reminds me of an oriental lily, looks great together with the character. Too bad you couldn't finish the kimono, I could only imagine how it would look with your great skills in shading and detailing :3

As in the HB it is different than the B2, because it has a harder lead and gives a lighter looking lines. The bigger the B number, the softer the lead and darker the lines :> (At least that is what I have observed from personal experience)

Thank you, @hentikage :) I looked up oriental lily and yeah it kinda does look like it !!! :D :D :D

i have always been drawing with the 2B leads :D It is weird to try different leads :D But exciting, too~

They are a pretty child! I like the fluffiness of the hair and the flower behind is great as well. Too bad you ran out of stamina to complete the picture. These days you seem to be tired a lot, maybe need a good recharge on the weekend? :D

Thank you !!! I am glad you likey :D :D

AND YES IMMA SLEEP LIKE A BOSS THIS WEEKEND YO~

Thank you, @yurche ! So kind of you <3

He's so pretty and soft <3 <3 <3

O hey ! Someone got it right <3 Amazing ! Thank you so much, @lioba !!!!!!!

I also have the tendency to just draw whatever flower or plant like thing that comes to my mind so I wouldn't know what they're called myself. Even though you ran out of energy, this pic still looks lovely!

thilah is like meeeeeeee yaaaaaaaaaaaaay :D :D :D we invent plant thingies liberally \o/

and thank youuuuuuuuu <333333

Beautiful, as always. I like a paper that has a tone to it. On white, things tend to appear a bit harsh to me. I use anything from 6B to 10H (which feels pretty much like a steel nail ;-) )

I actually like white a lot but I'm acclimatizing to other tones / colours.... They really bring a certain mood over the drawing :)

AND WOW 10H! That amazing !!!! I'm going to get a variation of pencils the next time I'm out at the art store :D

I use mostly what you call lead holder or clutch pencil with 2mm leads, not those really thin ones. One can sharpen them easily with sandpaper to a needle fine tip.

The very hard leads are hard to get by now, as they were mostly used in technical drawing, which basically is non existent since its all done on computers...
