Hi, Steemians this is my entry in the @artstorm contest. I chose to do a butterfly.
I used an HB pencil to do my outlining then I use coloured pencils to finish it off.
I started of by drawing circles to work out where things needed to be
then i did the outline
I used blue in the black to give it a blue feel to the finished image
then i added red to the orange to give it depth
and I was done

it's the first time I have drawn a butterfly yes, I do a lot of drawing mainly cartoons as that is what I have done since I was a kid. I used to trace the characters from the beano. loved that cartoon when I was growing up.
I like to paint too, but I have moved on to digital artwork, but I still love the smell of paper and pencil I think that will never change, it reminds me of my grandma, good memories.

a beautiful painting is always nice to see, I have 3 paintings in my house from a Swedish artist that I have met, you can not get anything out of it, but in a way they give me peace. Good to read that you think back to your grandmother with respect , i like that
