Tenants. Pen drawing.

in artzone •  6 years ago  (edited)

Hello everyone. Wow, where to start. This drawing was a doozy. I started this drawing with no direction on where to go. After a few minutes of lines... I figured out what I wanted to do. A strange building where you can see the inside of each apartment.

You can zoom in.

TENANTS. 9x12", pen on paper drawing.

Progress shot. This is the earliest image I have of the drawing.

Closing in on the drawing. At this point I would take longer than I wanted trying to figure out what to put in each room.

The last windows I did were these 3 with the lady floating above the bed. Definitely a reference to the exorcist.

Some of my favorites here. The squid, the head in the jar.

Anyways, this was a very time consuming drawing, as usual for me. Which window is your favorite?

Goddamn all that lining must've been tedious to do but ahh this is so great! My fave window is probably the lil' mouse~

This is SIMPLY STUNNING. Following you from Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand. Amazing work - wore please.

The intricacies of your work always amazes me @achristopherart and that you start with no idea where to go and just let it go on and on.

I have not done that in ages. I'm such a planner. Even my morning sketches are sort of thought out in my head before I put the pencil to paper. Maybe I worry about what crazy thing I'd make if I just shut off my mind and started drawing. I'd be a good experiment one day that is for sure.

Another great piece that one can see is just filled with the artist, all the detail and story is amazing.

Thank you! Sometimes I like to have a couple of drinks and get loose, see where the pen takes me. I did not do that for this drawing, but some others... definitely.
