Two Words That Caused Africa's Under development

of Africa's problem comes from just two words: sentiment and selfishness. If not for these two words, Africans will be on the same level with the rest of the world or even higher than them.
The average African is just interested in the development and success of himself or herself, just self and no one else.
If he is able to buy the latest big car, live in the latest big house, use all the latest gadget to that extent where he is praised and worshipped, the average African male counts himself made and fulfilled. Same thought process goes for the African female: if she is able to get hooked to these egoistic male either by marriage or friendship, who has the big cars and houses, and maybe with a house full of kids, she counts herself made as well.
It doesn't go beyond this, no innovations, no change and the circle continues
We are more interested in acquiring as many as materials as possible even if it means losing our name.
The average Europeans, Americans, Asians and the rest of the world is ahead of Africa because they are interested in results. Outstanding results irrespective of where it is coming from. But we are interested in the source of the result. If the result is not coming from someone we know, we don't support it.
We question everything. We question why the result must come from a particular region. Why it must come from a particular tribe. We question why it must come from a particular religion, why it must come from a particular church.
And for that reason we either don't support it or we bring it down.
We even sectionalize church, if they are not members of our church, we don't work with them. It has to be us, us and us.
We turn everything to God. We rather sit and pray than stand and work. How come we are the most religious continent yet the most underdeveloped? How come we know God more than other people yet wickedness and selfishness strive here more?
Europeans and Americans are known for political, social and scientific breakthroughs. Asians are known for economical and technological breakthroughs. South Americans have the sports and recreational breakthroughs but what breakthroughs do Africa have?
We worship the Europeans and Americans. Whatever they do, we support rightly or wrongly. We praise everything they do. We will rather support them than support one of own people. And if there is one of us who wants to bring that development Americans have, we bring them down, why? because we don't want them to be greater than us. We all must be on the same level. Yet we wont hesitate to grab a visa and jet out if we see the chance, after helping to underdevelop here. How long before we stop deceiving ourselves?
Till we change our thought process, till we change our mentality, we will continue to lag behind the rest of the world and poverty/suffering will never leave Africa.
