"Untitled" Hyperrealistic Pencil Drawing

in artzone •  6 years ago

It's been a while since I posted, with commissions and other stuff, I've not really had the chance to work on something new. I did start this piece a few weeks back, should be almost done with it by now, but laziness and the weather got me down. It's like my body has a hard time choosing between sickness and good health.😂

I've been thinking a lot lately, about the direction I want to take my art, I know I want my art to speak for itself, to evoke certain feelings in people, but what I'm most concerned about is how to make my art stand out, I've realised that having a style deeply unique to the artist can be easy for some and difficult for others, I guess I'm more of the latter. The question now is, what makes my work distinguishable from others out there? What must I add to make it uniquely me? I'm still trying to come up with answers to these.

Anyways, this work is really untitled because I feel it doesn't need one. I also realised that after how detailed my last piece was, pieces like this have become a walk in the park. There's still lots of room for improvement though as I'm still not satisfied with my skills.
