Hello Lovelies!
So I've been on a much needed long hiatus (on steemit specifically), but I'm back and will hopefully continuously be making more art. Here is my first full digital painting process video!
This is “Russian Doll", and yes I totally named her that after watching the series on Netflix. This painting has absolutely no association with the series whatsoever but it's awesome and Natasha Lyonne did such a good job as Nadia, you all should totally go watch it!
I didn't have a specific concept for this piece, this was mainly a reference practice for me.

Thank you haha! I wasn't really going for any feel while painting this, but I guess it is kind of dark. I love and admire Tim Burton's dark, peculiar concepts so that is a big compliment for me !! xD

Digital artwork becomes more and more appealing every time I watch someone like you who knows what they're doing. I'm just amazed at the options and the speed and the ability to change things or correct mistakes.
I see it took about 4-5 hours to create. I can't tell what program you're using. It kind of looks like photoshop. I'm also wondering if you're on a tablet of some sort, using a digital pen. I'm always interested in knowing what people are using to create their art.

Thank you @glenalbrethsen! I'm using Adobe Photoshop CC here. I like to use Paint Tool SAI too, the brush blends a whole lot better on SAI but is very limited on certain tools (like the warp adjustment, exposure and such). So photoshop is pretty neat!
I'm also using a Huion Inspiroy Q11k V2 drawing tablet here :) I just upgraded to that from my 9-years-old Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet xD

Glad I asked, @melissamyra. I've never heard of Paint Tool SAI or the Huion. Good to know. I don't consider myself an artist, but I do like to draw, so knowing what people are using so I can see what's out there is very helpful.
I have a Bamboo tablet, but could never really get comfortable with it. I think it's too many years of drawing with a real pencil and paper that it takes a while to get accustomed to the digital way of doing things. Just not the same feel to it.

I totally get what you mean, it took me quite some time to get use to. Still now. I think it helps some artists when layering a thin piece of paper over the tablet to get the same textured feel while drawing.
Also, Krita is a pretty good free painting program I've seen many digital artists use too. You could also check that out :) I haven't been able to run it on my computer sadly :(
