Experimenting with a camera and lights (Photos)

in artzone •  6 years ago

I'm used to posting drawings but it's been almost a week since I took these pictures, I took them alone in my brother's room where the sunlight reflected a lot and they gave some interesting lights, so I'll show you the three photos that I took, explain a bit of what I wanted to do and the concept or idea that I had when editing them the way I did, without further ado, let's start.

This was the first photo I edited, as there were quite a few photos that I took, I suppose, that they should know that when they make photo sessions they take a lot of photos, at the time of editing they choose a few and when printing them I think they are subtracted many more, there are many qualifiers that pass the photos to get to the final photos.

This was one of the photos that I liked the most when I saw it, because I was very attracted by the fact that one part was in darkness and the other half of the face was illuminated with sunlight, increase the brightness, also with the editor I gave the option to saturate the photo, which caused the colors to look more intense in the photo, I wanted the blue and orange to stand out equally, since they are complementary colors in the chromatic circle and there are some contrast to others. With the combination of lights and shadows, plus adding blue and orange colors, I feel that it gave a very contrast and composition.

In the next one, I only raised the brightness a bit, as I also lower it much more in the shadows, (I'm still amazed at what I achieve with a camera that is not professional at all and with a timed 2 seconds), likewise, saturates it a bit. with the photo editor and gave this result. When I was going to straighten it out, I realized that if I left it in that vertical position but gave the idea that it was going down, it was quite interesting to see and use, so I decided to leave it as it was.

And to finish, this last one that; personally is one of my favorites, one of my favorite elements of the photo is how the hair stands out, because of the color and light reflected in it, more than anything, I consider that it is the protagonist of that particular photo, although , putting me a little more poetic, light and shadow are the protagonists in this photo. It had the same treatment as the others, with the brightness, the shadows, although unlike the others, if I remember correctly it does not saturate the colors.

This is a bit irrelevant, however, I want to tell you. Photography has always inspired me to admire, I liked to observe them and be absorbed with them, although very rarely I had been encouraged to take pictures, until one day, when I was alone with the camera of a telephone, I started to improvise and it seemed to me that I was not so bad, so I took it as my hobby. Well, here comes this post.

Beautiful shots, @roveana <3 You have such a keen eye with deciphering colour composition that the photos came out beautifully arranged in terms of colour palette and balance <3 I love these ! The last one is my favourite, also, but all three are really wonderful, and like you, I love how the hair stands out in the third picture. It is indeed its own character, and I love its colours and forms, and I love how it catches the light, as well <3

You should totally do more photography ! I think you have an eye for it <3 <3 <3

Thank you very much, I was very insecure of post this photos cause' I was thinking is not a big deal, your comment makes me feel so happy, seriously, thank you so much <3 @veryspider
