The son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, will apply for a suspension of detention today, Monday (4/10/2021).
As previously reported, Aryan Khan was arrested on suspicion of drug abuse on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at a party on a cruise ship.
Satish Maneshinde, Aryan's attorney, confirmed that his client attended the event because he was invited by the organizers.
"No incriminating material was found from him. There was no possession or evidence of consumption either," Satish said as quoted by the Times of India, Monday (4/10/2021). Satish Maneshinde will then apply for a suspension of detention this afternoon before the case is brought further to trial. Satish Maneshinde believes his client can be saved because there is no evidence or anything against him.
Meanwhile several others have been detained by the NCB and will be released if their urine test results are negative. Aryan Khan was detained by NCB along with seven other people, namely Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, and Arbaaz Merchant.
From the raid on the cruise ship, NCB seized several drugs, including 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 MDMA (ecstasy) pills and 5 grams of MD (Mephedrone). Because of this case, NCB is getting serious about uncovering drug networks related to the Bollywood film industry
