La persona que ha resultado herida como consecuencia del derrumbe fue trasladada en estado grave al hospital Jackson Memorial, sin embargo aún no se ha difundido su identidad.
El tráfico permanece cerrado en esta zona y las autoridades han indicado que el edificio tenía permiso de derribo, pero no de demolición por explosivos.
