If you're a mountain biker living in, or visiting, the Ashland OR area, you really should try out the downhill mountain biking on Mt Ashland. The folks at Ashland Mountain Adventures make it easy. They are extremely knowledgable about all of the trails on the mountain and will help you select an appropriate route. If you didn't bring your bike, they have great models to rent.
In addition to the very reasonably priced shuttle service the provide to the ski area at the top of Mt Ashland, they also provide guide services leading you through the trails on the mountain.
