AskSteemit: Besides Steem, what coins do you hold and why?

in asksteemit •  7 years ago

Hey everyone!

There's so many different currencies out there lately and probably even more to come!

Each one has it's own goals, teams and developers. It's own history, age, success and future ahead of it and all of them share the same goal. To decentralize the world with blockchain technology.

I want to take the time to thank Satoshi Nakamoto for releasing the whitepaper to the mother of all coins: Bitcoin and it starting the whole blockchain revolution. Fun fact: the genesis block of Bitcoin has the following text in the data - "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks". A powerful message and for what the technology was intended, to give the control of the money back to the people.

I remember when there was only Bitcoin and Litecoin and a few other alts were starting to come to life. It was simpler times, you didn't have all too much news and events to follow of what was happening with the currencies. The effects of the first big pump that sent BTC above $1000 and LTC above $40 for the first time caused a chain reaction of new coins coming alive, each with their own goal and solutions, some unnecessary and some that are still strong and going forward to this day.

It has become hard to follow all these currencies over time, even if you work on it full time there just is too much. Each big even that causes a lot of adoption to blockchain makes even more innovation come to life. Here is which coins I follow and hold some of and why.

Ethereum - the currency that brought so many more coding languages to the blockchain and enabled so many new projects to be built upon it. One of the first to rise to 2nd place on marketcap in such a short time but probably not the last. I've loved following this project evolve under the lead of it's genius creator.

Litecoin - although I don't really think this one has any true innovation, I hold some just in case cause new money is often not that smart and only goes for the top currencies or the ones that have been alive the longest.

Ripple - I have really not followed this one in a long time, being the coin that most banks love it's been more of a "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" kind of deal and am glad I was able to get me some cheap.

Iota - new innovative technology that differs from many of the other blockchains - has had some nice partnerships over the short time it has been live and holding it just in case.

Monero - one of the real contenders to true anonymous transactions and wallets, this one I will hold and stack away somewhere without touching for a long time and still believe it is undervalued even though I've recommended buying it at ~$50 in the Alt-News posts I used to write. Worth looking into.

EOS - another brilliant creator who brought us Bitshares and Steem, holding some of this as speculation and to see what happens with it when it goes live.

NEO - the chinese version of Ethereum. China often likes to have their own version of currencies and this may be a reason why they've been banning Bitcoin back and forth. The same way how they have all of their own products pre-blockchain I believe they will go that route with this innovation as well.

Yoyow - same reason as NEO, this will be more in style to Steem. Not really planning on being an active voter on that platform when it's live but holding some since I got them cheap on binance just in case.

Bitconnect - lol, just kidding. Didn't touch that when it was $1 and won't touch it even if someone were to sell it for $1 to me now. Only a matter of time til it collapses and makes so many new and unknowing investors lose a lot of money.

Sia and Storj - both focusing on storage solutions and have great dev teams. I see them doing well in the future and definitely holding these long term.

One of my latest interests has been Enjin coin - this one focuses on making ingame items simply tradable with their coin among people and has some great solutions to offer to not congesting the ethereum network as much as the cryptokitties have done. With a solid team behind it and a company that have been alive for many years prior, they recently had their ICO and have been selling under ICO price for some time before they got back up. Looking to hold this one long term as well.

As an altcoin enthusiast there are a bunch of other coins I've stashed away but thought I wouldn't mention all of them and leave more room for discussion among other Steemians in this post.

Which coins do you hold and why, Steemians?

Leave a comment down below, in these #AskSteemit posts I reward good discussions more than usual.

ETC
My Ethereum Classic holdings are 25% of my total crypto portfolio.

Also, I want to comment on your LTC note that there is not much innovation in it - I think there is, as LTC is one of the earliest branches of BTC it is much faster and cheaper in transaction fees. I guess that is a nice advantage over many other leading coins.

Personally, I like EOS, ADA and XLM. They are all fast, scalable and have/will have a lot of very useful features. I'm generally less keen on ETH and the ERC20s because that blockchain has been proven not to work on a large scale. It's amazing how far this technology has progressed in the last few years and the amazing things coins can do besides merely being used as a medium of exchange.

Nice post and interesting discussion.

My portfolio includes:

  • VERTCOIN (good developement and great community, is similar to Litecoinbut, in comparison, really undervalued. I bought when it was 0,8 dollars and still hold)
  • BITCOIN CASH in case of flippening, I don't want to be whitout an Hedge. Bought at 500$
  • MONERO I belive that anonymous coin will be very important as government will try to tax crypto. Bought at 110 $
  • LITECOIN Efficent and with a gret road map. Bought at about 70$
  • KOMODO Decentralize crypto environment via atomic swaps and decentralized ICOs seems cool. Bought at about 2.80$
  • GOLEM sold 50 days ago to buy Bitcoin cash at 550$. I am waiting for the next great bitcoin cash pump to sell and come back to golem. In my opinion Golem has an enormous market potential, but the golem's key update is really late.
Golem is waiting for golem brass update, that will enable real market-use for Golem Token and will be probably released in 2018's first quarter. This is why i sold golem for bitcoin cash: there is yet a lot of time to wait for this big price-sensitive news. Actually if i had to sell bitcoin cash to golem, I would probably increase my original stake of at least 60-80%, so i am a bit relaxed..
Probably when brass will be ready, we will see a huge price pump and then a lot of attention for possible partnerships. At the moment golem is a sort of alpha version, brass will bring real usecases for this project.. So wait and see.

No leverage, it is a very very small portfolio.. But it is giving great satisfactions :D :D
PS: merry christmas!

I like NEM, IOTA, and NEO

NEM: It's the most advanced, already POS actually better as it's POI (proof of importance), combination of a public and private block chains, fast, low fee, pragmatic business friendly smart asset, active, building reputation in emerging markets, etc.

IOTA: Uses Tangle not blockchain. This makes it possible for micro transactions quickly with no fees, quantum computer resistant. Tangle is infinitely scalable, as it gets faster and faster with more users. (my thought): Has first mover advantage with Tangle. Tangle needs a lot of users for it to work well, meaning it could be difficult for clone Tangles to compete and take over.

NEO: Possibly going to be huge in China. https://squawker.org/analysis/chinas-cryptocurrency-neo-will-change-the-world-as-we-know-it/

all three still have room to grow, each one has a market cap around 2.5 billion, compared to ETH 32 billion or BTC 70 billion.

@acidyo I agree with you once again, I do gather the same coins as you! I like ripple too for the long term! Not only because it's the bank thing, but also because it's premined and I believe that mining will turn out to be a huge problem in the future. There's many reasons why I believe it is going up, but it will take time!

As I've mentioned before I use DOGE for daily trades. Low fees!
I believe in Monero as well, especially because it's anonymous.

By the way I love IOTA. That and BTS are my favourites.

Highest Regards
@lordneroo

I like the coins you have! I haven't heard on enjin coin before! I will look into it!

Ethereum - the idea of smart contracts is one of the best ideas to date with blockchain technology. I think Vitalik is one of the sharpest guys out there.

SmartCash - I love their SmartRewards and the push for implementing the coin in commerce in Africa, India, and Venezuela. It is based on the Zerocoin protocol and is extremely affordable and undervalued. They should have masternodes aka Smartnodes coming out in the next few days.

Vertcoin - they have one of the most active development teams from what I have seen. I like that they are ASIC resistant and have already implemented segwit and lightning network.

my longs are
NEO because as you said Chinese are backing their efforts
STRAT they are putting some serious efforts
STEEM first crypto with real world use case & product
SYS decentralized eBay

Nice one! :)

I have a pretty good collection of pennies, nickels, and dimes. I was investing in quarters since they are worth more but I spent them on cigarettes last week. I also have a few New Zealand coins from when my brother went there.

I don't have any! I joined Steemit because it seemed like an easy way to begin learning about cryptocurrencies. So far I'm very overwhelmed lol. I'm fascinated by all of this and I want to invest, so I need to start somewhere. If anyone has any suggestions as to where I can learn more it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for an interesting article again @acidyo! Nice to hear your thoughts about "main" cryptocurrencies.

Right now I'm holding Steem, SBD, Reddcoin and Ripple. It's probably pretty obvious why I'm holding Steem/SBD, but as for the other two I just figured they'd both be some good investments, especially Reddcoin as I got it when it's so cheap, and it's already potentionally doubled my money if I choose to sell out soon. Thinking I'm going to hold onto it for a little while and see if I can gain anymore or not.

My plan with both my Ripple and Reddcoin investments though is if I do increase my gains to just invest whatever I do end up making back into my Steem account to help get me a bit more powered up. But, we'll see what happens.

But iota Is not avail in bittrex...did you know where tobuy IOTA..
Resteemed Good share :)

You can buy plenty of $Iota at Binance.

I purchased mine in Coinspot (Aussie-based exchange). You could probably also buy at Cryptopia (NZ).

I'd recommend Binance. Been an awesome exchange with a good amount of different currencies, many that get started there first too. It also offers an awesome 0.05% trading fee where as most other exchanges have 0.2%-0.25%.

If you click on the name up there you can use my referral which I'd appreciate, else just go to binance.com. :)

I haven't used Binance before but have heard great things about it! Just signed up with your referral code!

Cool, thanks!

Yeah, I've been using it for a month or so, mainly signed up due to enjin but have fallen in love with it now. :D

It looks pretty powerful! I can't wait to use it!!

Thanks for your suggestion it sounds good going for sign in..
Well I have togo with your referel ❤ :)

I have ETH, LTC, BTG, XLM, Steem, SBD.

Why I choose XLM? XLM is cheap for my currency (IDR). I bought the coin from Steem and SBD I get from steemit. I thank to steemian who give me the reward for my post. But if I have more steem, I bought more ETH or LTC. Ripple? I dont think yet

Do you think Ripple is best for Indonesian, @acidyo?

BTC - because, Bitcoin

LTC - again, because Litecoin

ETH - I like the idea of a blockchain that was devoted as a hosting platform.

IOTA - Because, the Internet Of Things, and I like what this is promising in a number of different tech applications.

EOS - This is still a mystery to me, but I had a hunch. It's paid off.

STEEM - need I say more.

Electroneum (ETN) - This smartphone app designed to help popularise the daily everyday use of cryptocurrencies. I bought into the ICO, so far only trading on Cryptopia.

BTG - I only have a small amount received from the hard fork as I had some BTC in Freewallet. I'm a bit pissed off, because the amount is too small for me to send into another exchange, wallet, or to trade into another token. So not entirely sure what to do about this, as I have no plans to buy any BTG.

HOLO - not a coin (yet), but I have invested in the Holoport and will be mining once we go live next year.

I've just heard about SKYCOIN, and want to investigate further before buying some - again, only trading on Cryptopia. But I feel it's purpose is aligned with my interest in Blockchain/Crypto

@acidyo my dear friend...

  1. I'm new comer in crypto world and steemit pltform...I'm always try learn something with every posts. .
  2. I'm always know and trust btc ans steem can change my future life...
  3. I can graw day by day...I'm hold my steem for my future...
  4. So...ur this post is very usrful to me...I'm appreciate ur analyse...ideas..
  5. Followed U...now I'm become Ur fan sir...I'm always try followed ur blog every day...bcz...I'm realy know I can learn something with ur posts...specialy about crypto and steemit...
  6. And I realy trust steemit is one of better platform help to others..
    Good luck sir....

This is a great discussion @acidyo because I'm curious about what people really do hold. I have btc, bcc, eth and ltc. I started this in 2012 but lost interest. I mined 4 btc in 2013 and bought a little litecoin at $25 and am holding.

I'm actually thinking of selling the ltc and putting it into steem. It seems a little better suited to me and my skillset. Being a crypto junkie is like a disease. I hate thinking about charts and trades. I like the idea that steem has actual utility and people working it. I'm new here but I'm leaning towards going all in on steem. What do you think about this? Risky move?

Thanks for recomending Enjin. Seems like a really good investment option. I have mainly invested in the top 10 altcoins. However I have also invested in SONM and WABI.

SONM is very similar to Golem. A global super computer providing additional computing power to those who need it. However, I think that it is much better than Golem and that it will beat it in the future.

WABI is a chinese token that backs approved products. People can use WABI tokens to pay for food and certain iteams. Paying in WABI tokens insures customers that the products they are buying are NOT counterfeit or fake. Counterfeit food and products are a huge issue in China. They have injured and even killed thousands of people. WABI is a legit company offering a solution to real problem.

As new in crypto wolrd I only have steem and some bit shares. I do plan to diversity a little bit over time to EOS as maybe better ETH alternative and I'm still considering other options. I hope bitshares can be platform to buy other stuff easy, so I can just move some steem from here to BTS and then diversify from there on.

Thanks for explaining why you hold those and which one to avoid.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Just starting out. I figure learning how coins work is at least as valuable as holding them if you think they'll be worth more in the future - so currently just buying tiny amounts to move around & grok the whole ecosystem.

  • Bitcoin
  • Litecoin (easy to buy with fiat and much lower transaction fees than bitcoin so less expensive to play around with)
  • ETH (I'm a programmer, smart contracts seem fun)
  • Bitshares (see ETH, also cheap to trade, keen on crypto stuff that actually ties to the real world)
  • Steem (see Bitshares, also mainly just keen to learn more and engage with the community)

Im still New and experimenting around and learning about them...

But so far i bought BTC, earned some steem/SBD and i have an este on some interesting ones

Dash and lite looks interesting,
Ethereum looks solid development
neo seems the most sucessful proof of Drake só far

Still a lot to learn, but ill grab some on the future

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I'm holding BTC – for very obvious reasons...

Ethereum – with Dapps being created rapidly on ethereum, one couldn't be too far from holding a bit of this one.

Neo – got in during the hype a few months ago... Been knighted as the ethereum of china. Everyone's looking forward to getting that Lambo.

DGB– not sure why or how I got this one. Anyone holding this currently? 🤔

Eos – with so much potential, Eos could play a huge part in the future of crypto. Also, we do know dan.

Xrp– just incase the bank have got something up their sleeves for this one.

I also hold DGB !! It's about to be bulllllishh so I hodl for obvious reasons lol

Wow.. In that case I'm gonna sit tight! 😎

Yes big moneys to be made !! MERRY CHRISTMAS

I'm hodling Digibyte too!

I only have Steem....It is the only reason that I know anything about crypto at all. 🤣

That's one thing that's pretty great about Steem, it's the best one to bring newcomers to the innovation. :)

Newcomers...and grandmas, like me!!

Happy holidays, Take a parrt for donation for poor kids ( you can see on my post, If you can of course.

Sorry, I'm a skeptic and only donate to people I'm friends with!

You are learning! always keep in mind , just about everyone in crypto is a scammer lol

☺♥

STEEM: The gateway drug

I like bitshare, EOS, and NEO.

Bitcoin: - The mother of all cryptos and an opportunity for money saving (like gold)
ethereum: a decentralized platform with much potential for many applications in the future
IOTA: unbeatable vision, if they can handle it to get at least a piece of the internet of things cake, they can grow to heaven.
Dash: very easy and good coin for actual transactions.
Great payment option.
Neo: Much potential because of the asian market.
TenX: Good vision to make people pay with cryptos.
Great Team and much potential for the future.
RIpple/XRP: The currency of the banks?
Already many partners, well structured and professional Team,
Very serious

There are many more that look interesting to me and which I will check out closer soon.

Agreed on XRP. I think most people would shy away from it since it is a bank currency. Me personally I'm a fan of banks and mine is partnered with them.

agreed

@acidyo, What do you think about SmartCash, can you do a professional analysis from you perspective? Btw, thank you for sharing with us your thoughts about the ones that you included.

I wish I had the time to go through all of them carefully. :D

Lately it's been like shooting fish in a barrel, hard to go wrong during bullish markets.

Yea, you are absolutely right, in this current market it's hard to go wrong no matter what you invest in. I am hodling IOTA, Basic Attention Token, SmartCash and Bitcoin. And in the mean time I am just buying and selling others. I used to hold EOS but i sold it when the prices jumped. I might rebuy some when I find a good opportunity. I think you should research SmartCash. By the way, what do you think about Bitcoin Gold, is it same exact copy of Bitcoin except the mining algorithm?

Also, I am about to make a post soon talking about Steem. I hope you check it out :)

Dopecoin ftw! lol :)
Well, they are the first cannabis coin to support a advertising network for cannabis. Advertising cannabis is a real bitch.

I only have bitcoin and steem as my coins, I actually havent try other coins because I dont have much knowledge with them, although I would like to try Verge..I will certainly study all this coins and will soon purchase one or two of them. Yours is very interesting though...

There are some really good coins out there too.. 😃

yeah, whats your recommendation there bro? Ive got to choose the right one.

I have Monero, I've been mining it with minergate on my PC. I also have ETH I've mined a couple of it. I have Lots of Dogecoin ...it's easy to mine and acquire too. I have BCH which resulted at the August Bitcoin Fork. I would get NEO and EOS they seem promising and I see a future with EOS as etherum competition

Lol.. I forgot dogecoin.. I've lots of them too

I hold a few low market cap ones or low value as you can pick up so many of them and if they go up its always 50% or more for large jumps these include Doge, Ripple, Stratis, Kamado, Bytecoin, Reddcoin, Digital note, Funfair and more. But my cores are Bitcoin, ETH and Lite.

LITECOIN MONERO BAT MUSIC XLM RIPPLE and DOGE, do you know why ? I think that prices will increase...

Price is not everything. :)

Yes you are right, price is not everything, what matters is price increase rate :D

also the projects are pretty good :)

The only other coin besides Steem and SBD I've been keeping up with is XRP. Definitely something I'll be holding long term. Sorry I'm out of the loop with other altcoins but how is Monero's anonymity different from any other coins anonymity?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Bitcoin bits;
i actually bought 2 Bitcoins some years ago, when they were like $250 each or so
and then sold them for $260 each :D
i was also given some Bitcoin cash recently, but sold at 0.14, and then it went over 0.2
but what can you do, that's life

Yeah... Totally understand, no one knew t'would moon so fast. heck!, we aren't even sure it's reached the moon yet.

Lost a lot to ponzi schemes earlier this year. Sad.

Been to Ponzi land too, bought the T-shirt :D

Lol... I'll need one too. 😉

Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash because they are #1. Old school but still rocks.
ETH because it is perspective and follows them closely
BTS because it is decentralized and I believe in their future

Bitcoin/forks: Is the Crypto Hydra.
Ether: They are coming up with good cryptogadgets
Dogecoin: For the lolz.
Stratis: Their developers are always on point with their schedule.
ZRX. It has a real Implementation and more escrows and people are building on it.
Civic: Reputation and Identity are part of the original cypherpunk dream. That part needs solutions.
Blockstack: Probably the most interesting project after Bitcoin on DNS and decentralized storage.

QVT, XVG, BTX, WAVES, STRATIS, OMG. I think they will explode in 2018

Wow this is incredible

At present I hold 3 Cryptos

  1. Ethereum - Beacuse of smart contracts technology and one of the biggest alliance
  2. RIpple: The currency of the financial institutions. And I think banks are here to stay.
  3. NEO: have a lot of potential in the Asian market.

I only keep steem long term, mostly because I don't have nearly as much trust for any other wallet like I do for steem. Also I use steemit every day so for me it has so much more utility then any other crypto.

In my opinion IOTA has huge potential, I have some and I will buy more every month.

looking at bitconnect price makes me worry everytime thatare we in bubble? :S

I got some civic because I heard it was privacy centric and i hoped the dark web drug markets would adapt it

bitcoin and ripple

I hold VERGE because prediction about it is very high and i hope it croses soon 5$ rapidly.

I hold monero, because I see it as the main privacy coin, It was the first coin that I've mined also.

I love ripple and NEO. Good coins right now

Anyone see BLITZ today??? Unreal play because rumors, confirmed anonymously speak of Snapchat leading with a huge investment in other tech spaces. Doing more reading now, but I have other coins like BAT because I want Brave to compete with Google Chrome, NAV, and a couple others...

The guidance is very effective.

Hold the coins and get profit.

Loading...

Guys what about Bytecoin someone can give me advice thank you @acidyo

Great piece thanks, what do you think of Dash?

Other than steem and steem dollars, ETH because my professor said "try to get some" a few months ago:-)

Happy holidays, Take a parrt for donation for poor kids ( you can see on my post, If you can of course.

i dont have any crypto yet..because i'm new to this world ... i heards about some good things about EOS ... so i would choose EOS in future...

Bitcoin- Because it is "king" of crypto world:)
Ethereum- Smart contracts and team behind it
Steem- No transaction fee, enormous potential for growth
Zcash- Recommendation from James Altucher, Silicon Valley insider

EOS, Doge, and the one called Bitcoin on Steroids.

BTC,ETH,LTC,PAY,ETN,DGB,COSS,XRP,CVC.

I'd recommend for you to also get some bitcoin cash.
For me:
bitcoin: ofc thats obvious.
bitcoin cash: just in case it turns out to be the real bitcoin
litecoin: I like the creator and the coin itself.
dogecoin: wonderful community and a wonderful coin!
verge: my newest investment
eos:looks like it's gonna go to moon soon.
I'm also looking to invest in IOTA.

I'm holding VTC for long term and i think its reasonable for it to be a 50-100 $ coin in 2018

I am trying to hold most of those coins but sometimes the rule invest in what you can afford to lose limits me so much because I don't have a rich father. Anyways thanks @acidyo

i just have Steem. i am thinking about invest in some crypto, but feeling so noob about all of this new coins :P i´ve been thinking sbout invest in Ethereum and Litecoin, maybe give it a try on Bitcoin.

Hai @acidyo... thanks for sharing this topic, very clear for new comer like me.

extraordinary
best regards to friendship steemit
guide us so we like you ..
I am still a steemit beginner

I got some good old fashion bitcoin sitting, ofcourse! I got steem , ofcourse, reason is abvious, steem is going to be great! I will be buying more alts like verge, eth and neo once the dip is bottom. Why? because I believe they'll rise hard by the end of 2018 :)

I have "Ripple"
I bought it very cheap

I have a few different ones. I really like Smartcash though. Profitable to mine plus monthly smart rewards.

I use one coint that is XLM, because currently XLM price is very cheap if purchased with IDR. of course, with a cheap price that makes all people can buy it. XLM motion graph is also very stable.

I dont hold any altcoins yet but the steem community has been a wealth of knowledge and a great gateway drug to get me on the ladder. I will soon try my hand at the markets using part of my steem rewards. EOS ( because of it's creator) and monero ( because of its premise)

Happy Christmas to all of you

I bought some ETHOS (BQX) and think it will somehow be useful. Although I don't like the idea of using their platform with verified ID, if it could get us a better way to convert fiat to crypto or vice versa, I think it is cool.

I hold mainly BTC and LTC. I think good altcoin is LSK which is being developed very slowly.. but smart. I had some musicoins, and dumped too early.. I was interested in because of mining. What I have more.. i have 0 bcash - not sure if it is smart.

Erm, truth is id just keep getting bitcoin... cos its stable in a way... ps: like ur gif destoying other social media platforms...

@acidyo I have EOS, BitShares, MUSE, TRON and Authorship. I can’t pin it on anything more than an intuition but if there was ever an industry prime for disruption, it’s the book/publishing/royalties ecosystem. They’ve been pretty on top of their roadmap.

I have some BTC, ethereum classic, ripple, IOTA and looking to buy ethereum and EOS as well. I see that EOS has a great future and BTC isn't good for a small investor like me as transfer fees are climbing on sky!

Nice post! I'm personally holding EOS, Ethereum, Revain and recently acquired some Decentraland most likely for long (ish) term investments and hopefully to sell off in a couple of years.

thank you to share your experience to hold different cryptocurrency. this information will really helpfull for me to getting step towrds cryptocurreny.

I hold just steem and Neo because I didn't get the chance to diversify when all the coins were cheap and also didn't have a lot of money. I like Neo because you can collect gas in the wallet and will attract some new ICOs in the future.

Iota is something has really caught my eye! It's seriously one to look out for! I also have a few BAT(basic attention tokens) created by Brave web browser, you should check it out @acidyo

Electroneum

I did not hold any cryptocurrency but now i hold steem because of this plate form lol

Very useful information for me. I'm not particularly selenium in the knowledge of crypto-currencies, and some of the points from your article have become for me a revelation. I understand that I'm doing a little stupid, but I only keep Steem and then in the form of SP. Merry Christmas. Good luck to you and good.

I'm still learning about cryptos and your post helped a lot. Thanks!

acidyo My favorite friend Onek is a beautiful post

currently I am holding just ADA here are the reasons why I have chose it besides Steem. I would have hold many other coins including Ripple, Stellar Lumens, EOS, IOTA. The reason why I am not holding yet these is because I didn't have enough funds, but I will be taking them one by one :)

I am currently holding LTC, ETH, DOGE, DGB, ADA, POWR, BLK, MANA, and XEL

I like the teams backing each of these alt coins and I see a future with ADA due to its ability to perform private transactions as well as responding to the needs of regulators... which i think makes it prime for mass adoption.

I agree with most of your picks, except for Ethereum in the long run. Its blockchain is being clogged by useless games and I think it has the same destiny as Bitcoin. Kind of like becoming a collectors item, but not being usable (as intended) any more.

I have posted an article on my top 10 cryptocurrency investments myself, you can find it here if you are interested:

Hmmm... Steem, Qtum, Neo and BTC.
There were more but sold them when they spiked)
(Like a lot Ripple, Litecoin, IOTA and Eos too).

I don't know man.
Let's hope that next upcoming years will bring more innovations and help people to become financially independent and follow their dreams!)

I just have SBD, STEEM, & BTC .
And I know crypto since using steemit @acidyo 😂

I did not hold any cryptocurrency

In addition to those that you have listed:

Dash, because they use a very sound financial and technical policies to support their project, i.e. feed themselves.

Still hold Zencash, the same reasons that keep Dash. Moreover, in early December, they launched a support of master nodes, like dash, I hope that the rate of this coin will reach $80 in the coming months.

Steem anyway. It is more than currency as it offers relationships and freedom. I strongly believe in this currency. Any other altcoins that offer solutions to problems will rise. I had Verge, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash and then sold them but still believe that they also have a bright future. I have few others as well but I am looking for coins which I can use in real life to buy things, to go on a trip and buy food at cafe :)

Don't tell me you never held EOS @acidyo. :)
Its because its the future for scalability in blockchain and in DApps.

Nowadays it is getting complicated :P xD Thanks for the list . I just have steem, but I am planing to focus soon also on other crypto, greetings Lena!

Yep. It’s only steem for me right now. Still learning about new cryptos every day. When I get ready to diversify I know who to talk to. Thanks for your post. 🐓🐓

Lisk, Digibyte, Verge, DigitalNote(XDN), Burst, Library Credits, BitBay, CryptoPing, Civic.
Merry Christmas!

Good post, I am a photographer, it passes for my blog and sees my content, I hope that it should be of your taste, you have my vote :D greetings

So interesting to read all the comments on this good post! I'm holding a little bit ETH, LTC and XRP (except Steem and Bitcoin). The main reason is that I want to learn and think it's more interesting if I'm holding some. ETH because of the creator and that it seems to have advantages compared to Bitcoin, LTC and XRP mostly because of what people I look up to are holding and the coins market cap :P Really want to learn more!

Good Research, what do you think which is the best currecy to invest in.?
