My Second Child and My First Son Leonardo Was Just Born Today!

A Leo Monster is Born.

Just after birth.


I am very pleased to announce my second child and my first son Leonardo Fougere was born today at 11:51 am EST. @JustJasmine Jasmine Reynaud and I are so happy and thankful for having a second completely healthy child, we are truly blessed. Leo was two weeks early on his due date (he really wanted to see the Patriots in the Super Bowl), but he came in swinging at 5 pounds 14 ounces, welterweight division lolz.

We live in Plymouth, MA but we drove to Boston for the Hospital, so Leo was born in Boston, MA. Boston has the best medical facilities basically in the world so that was a no brainer.

Labor had begun, but it was not going strong enough yet, but was really close, so we got sent to the hotel .1 miles away, that lasted for two hours then we came back for the show to really begin. Getting the .1 mile from the hotel to the Hospital was almost impossible. I seriously thought at one point I would be delivering my son in the back of my Cadillac in a garage a .1 mile distance away from the hospital. In both Jazzy and my opinion they never should have discharged her. But in the end it doesn't matter at all.

They made me get all geared up:

A bunch of graphic stuff took place, 12 hours of labor, a few pushes and this alien like creature came out of my fiancee, then the nurse wiped him up, bam it was our son...

I could not be happier, also they say "skin to skin contact" is really important after birth for health and bonding reasons, what you see here is the first time I got to hold my son:

We named him Leonardo because Jazzy and I like that name and I come from a 50% Italian background. That is it. His middle name is in honor of my father's middle name and Jasmine's father's middle name.

Paul Newman is a pretty cool guy to share a birthday with. Not only did he star in one of the best hockey movies ever, it is one of the best films ever period. Secondly Newman has through his food companies (all organic), made more money for charities than some of the richest people on Earth. RIP.
