Tokens of various football clubs are ahead of the cryptocurrency market this Friday. Positive dynamics emerged ahead of the start of the European Football Championship.
The largest growth was shown by the ASR token of the Italian "Roma" – it rose by 50% to $7.75. At the same time, the ASR is still trading 70% below the absolute highs recorded in December. The attention to the ASR is probably due to the fact that the Turkey – Italy game in Rome will open today.
The interest in this match also determined the second leader among fan tokens in the 24-hour period. This is the IBFK of the Istanbul Basaksehir Club. It, however, has a trading volume of just $148,000 versus ASR's $57 million.
The token of Juventus, another club from Italy, added only 27.5%. Today's jump helped almost all tokens from this category to return to the green zone after a decline over the week.
Fan tokens are issued on the Socios platform of the blockchain startup Chiliz and are positioned as a tool for influencing team decisions, gaining access to VIP awards and exclusive promotions. Chiliz's own token (CHZ) was also among the best today, adding 38.3%. The main trading of fan tokens is conducted on the Binance exchange.
The current European Football Championship is already called the most unusual in history. It is designated as the 2020 championship, as it was supposed to take place last year, but was postponed to this one due to the pandemic. In addition, for the first time, the matches will be held in 11 cities of 11 countries, including St. Petersburg.
