According to police reports, the accused driver, Krishna, asked the woman to shift to another berth in the bus. He then gagged her and sexually assaulted her. The daughter, who was sleeping next to her mother, did not witness the assault.
Arrest and Investigation
The Osmania University police intercepted the bus on the outskirts of Hyderabad past midnight after the victim called the police helpline Dial 100. The co-driver, Siddhaiah, was arrested at the scene. The key accused, driver Krishna, is still at large and is being sought by the police.
