This first week we have received an assessment where we are grouped with random classmates and are tasked to construct a 'new/unique' object out of different materials or objects by transforming them to invoke a different idea. My group and I initially focused on the ideas between 'Gravity' and 'Gravitas' which did lead us to choosing to use ready mades and 'disposable waste'. We also had a few different ideas for what we wanted to communicate and form with some ideas for monuments, natural environments and culture. For now we have decided to collect waste we can use for the project.
