RASHIS (Zodiac Signs) AND THEIR NATURE

Sidereal zodiac is considered to be a belt of 360o. This 360o belt is divided in to 12 equal parts of 30o each. This each part is called as Rashi. There are 12 Rashis in total. In vedic astrology, rashi of an individual is decided from the placement of planet Moon, as Moon is nearest to Earth is considered to have the most effect on Human beings than any other planet.

Following are the 12 Rashis and their nature:

1. Mesha (Aries):

4. Karka (Cancer):

5. Simha (Leo):
   Sign: Sher (Lion)
   Element: Fire
   Quality: Sthir (Fixed)
   Ruling planet: Surya (Sun)

6. Kanya (Virgo):
