When the intense contractions of the birthing experience begin to overwhelm our reality, it becomes too easy to allow oneself to fall victim to the ancient survival program in the reptilian part of our brains. An ancient program that was designed for fighting wild beasts and running from dinosaurs!

We are blessed on one hand to live in a world, now free from that survival threat that was a daily part of our ancestor's world, but in today's society, we face another threat. A threat much more subtle that does not roar and scream but rather sneaks in through the frequency of stress and unease.

These days, the simple act of opening an overdue power bill can often trigger the very same stress response from our serpent mind that was previously reserved for life-threatening situations.

Jack Johnson, born a Red Overtone Serpent, brings a new survival program through the beautiful tunes of his laid-back soft rock style, calling for the world to slow down, take a breath and move out of Reaction and into the empowered space of Response.

Slow down, like a serpent through the long grasses, taking the time to taste the very air around it... laze about on warm rocks and absorb the energy and nutrients of the sun... allow life to move through you and around you, guiding you forth... but like the Serpent, be ready to take fast action in response to life the moments you really need to.

This is the way of our future, not of laziness and slothful behavior, but of efficient creative impulses followed by periods of pure relaxation and enjoyment of those creations! As we find this balance within ourselves in our day to day lives, we will begin every day to see it reflected back to us in our outer reality.
