Russia has just announced its first space travel program by inviting travelers to experience thesensation of a vacuum at the International Space Station (ISS).The head of the Russian space company Energia, Vladmiri Solnstev, acknowledged that theprogram will be realized in the near future.
He also revealed the range of costs that must be spent for a vacation into space. "The costrange is US $ 100 million (equivalent to Rp 1.3 trillion), we are targeting the upper classes tojoin this program," Solnstev said. Solnstev also revealed, in addition to sightseeing to theInternational Space Station, tourists can also enjoy what it feels like spacewalk (walking inthe field without gravity). "They can also record those amazing moments, or they can ask usto record it and make it into a movie," he continued. In addition to the space vacation project, Russia is also preparing a five star luxury hotel located in the International Space Station.
According to information quoted Popular Mechanics, Saturday (23/12/2017), because it islocated at the International Space Station, the hotel will automatically be in the trajectory ofEarth orbit. However, the hotel built by the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) will not bethe same as the luxury hotel on Earth. This hotel will instead form a private cabin withwindows that are about 16 inches wide. It will also be equipped with other luxury facilities,ranging from bathroom, fitness equipment, to Wi-Fi. Since this hotel is in outer space, thestay must be assisted by professional astronauts, considering the hotel has no gravity at all. Walking will automatically float in it.
The hotel is named "NEM-1". Overall, this modular hotel has a length of 15.5 meters andweighs 20 tons. Each hotel room is revealed to have a pressure of up to 92 cubic meters.Hotels that will be 'tacked' on the International Space Station will have four bedrooms. Inaddition, the hotel will also have two modules with several multi-purpose rooms. Even so,this new hotel can be used in 2021.
