NGC 6946 (with Supernova)

in astronomy •  7 years ago

The fireworks galaxy (ngc6946). From shooting the images on the .9m telescope to all the image combining and processing, this was my first real astronomical image that I did everything myself to produce. The supernova is fairly obvious when compared to a before image; it's near the bottom of the galaxy.
