Dear steemian, I am sharing a post for steemian this time with the topic "nebula"
While I was relaxing looking at the ceiling, then one word flashed through my mind "nebula"
Looks like I've read about nebula, but what is nebula ?? I think the nebula is a beautiful cloud that surrounds the star, does not it?
Finally with curiosity I searched about the nebula on google, sooo, this summarize that I get from the results I read!
The nebula is one of the billions of objects in the universe that are interesting to look at. The name is taken from the Latin, "Nebulae" which means "Cloud".
But, nebula is not the usual cloud like on Earth.
The nebula is a collection of dust, hydrogen gas, helium, and plasma which is also often the place of new star nurseries, or the birthplace of stars.
They are formed when very large molecular clouds collapse under their own gravitational forces, often caused by the influence of nearby supernova explosions.
Clouds collapse and fragment, forming up to hundreds of new stars. The newly formed star ionizing the surrounding gas creates an emission nebula.
The other nebula is formed by the death of the star.
A star undergoing a transition to the white dwarf stage exhales its outermost part to form a planetary nebula.
Nova and supernovae can also create nebula known as nova remnant and supernova remnant.
And over the centuries ago, humans mistook a distant galaxy as a nebula.
But now, astronomers have realized that outer space is not really a vacuum as a whole. Rather it consists of particles of gases and dust known collectively as the Interstellar Medium (ISM) or interstellar medium. ISM consists of gas, which is about 75% hydrogen gas and the remaining 25% is helium
This interstellar gas consists mostly of neutral atoms and molecules, as well as charged particles (plasma) such as ions and electrons. This gas is very dilute, with an average density of about 1 atom per cubic centimeter. As a comparison, the Earth's atmosphere has a density of about 30 trillion molecules per cubic centimeter (3.0 x 10 ^ 19 per cm³)
About 150 BC, Claudius Ptolemaeus wrote about the nebula object between the consellation of Ursa Major and Leo.
In 1504, Arab and Chinese researchers suggested that the Crab Nebula was formed from a supernova explosion called SN 1504
In 1610 on 26 November, Nicolas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc (French astronomer trying to make a map of the surface of the moon, but has died before completion) examined the Orion Nebula through a telescope.
From 1751-1753, many nebula-nebulae were discovered, Charles Messier, changing the name of the nebulae into a messier and explaining the real nebula.
Well, here are some names of nebulae found:
Cat's eye Nebula, Crab Nebula, Magellan Nebula, ant Nebula, Egg Nebula, Omega Nebula, Cat's Paw Nebula
How is steemian? Cool that nebula, okey enough about nebula, hope you guys like it
