At Computex, AMD made some very important announcements, including the new Ryzen third generation based on the AMD X570 chipset. The most important of the changes made by the latter is PCI Express 4.0, which will make the next video cards more bandwidth available.
More cores and threads correspond to higher quality motherboards for the processor. Asus will substantially fragment its motherboard offering based on the AMD X570 chipset, allocating a solution to each user type and declining it within its vertical brands. Among these is the ROG Crosshair VIII, prepared for liquid cooling with metal back plate. If this solution is aimed at those who love the most extravagant PCs, it certainly makes Crosshair VIII Hero more sober, while offering very similar technical specifications. Small system supporters, on the other hand, are more interested in Mini-DTX Crosshair VIII Impact.
The Strix series then maintains the ROG solutions ' style, performance, and overclocking capabilities, avoiding the extras that many users might not need. We have two full-size ATX boards for the Strix series for the latest Ryzen platform, namely ROG Strix X570-E and X570-F Gaming, plus the Strix X570-I Mini-ITX solution.
With regard to the TUF Gaming brand, we have a single motherboard available in two variants for X570: the TUF Gaming X570-PLUS and its twin version with a Wi-Fi module. There are many differences between the TUF Gaming and the Prime solutions, starting with the digital multi-stage VRM that ensures a stable energy supply, while the capacitors equipped on these motherboards are characterized by a 20 percent higher heat tolerance than standard circuitry alternatives. While the Gigabit port is protected by TUF LANGuard technology, there are more cooling options, which help to dampen the effects of current surges.
Pro WS X570-ACE combines the new features of the AMD X570 chipset with ECC RAM and usually relegated to server solutions management features. On the other hand, Prime X570-PRO is characterized by a more universal and sober style compared to gaming solutions, which is too attractive to most audiences.
A definitely futuristic concept brought by Asus to Computex goes beyond the new chipset and corresponds to Prime Utopia's name. It is a compact solution designed with a series of cooling and connection solutions for innovative components for future generation desktop devices. The VRM is liquid cooled and the video card can be placed on the back via PCI Express 4.0 via a specially designed connection. More specific is the presence of an OLED panel which provides information about the state of the system and enables adjustments of different types to be made, detachable and placed on the desk. All these features are shown in detail in the video at the beginning of the news.
Lastly, Prime X299 Edition 30 is the motherboard with which Asus celebrates its market debut's thirtieth anniversary. It offers 16-stage VRM with finned heatsink, 3, M.2 slot for SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 3, 5 G Ethernet, and a Smart Control Console featuring, inter alia, infrarot camera, gesture-based dialog with the system. In short, a chipset for Intel solutions from a couple of years ago has been updated to the latest standards: clearly a solution for enthusiasts with whom they would like to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary rather than a common user product.
