Dukes and Duchesses of the Deserted!

It's good to be back in the world of abandoned shit. Still trying to free my schedule up a bit, so I apologize for not having these winners posted yesterday. Anyway, lots of good entries. Lots of a good reads. Lots of a good photos. Lets take a look at the winners!

The Theme:

This week's theme = Windows! Your photos should feature the windows of an abandoned building or vehicle. Pretty straight forward here. I'll be pretty lenient on the theme ruling, just make sure a window is pretty prominent in your entry.

A lot of my judging is usually based on how much I'd love to see something in person. This entry by @unacomn is super high on that meter. It sounds like it was an old water tower, turned restaurant, turned abandoned. Some cool architecture... and check out them windows!

Built over a century ago, 1912 to be more precise, when it was the tallest building in the city, it served as a water tower for the few houses back then that were connected to the city water supply."

I kept coming back to this entry. I love the old tower and how you can see some sky showing through the windows on both sides. I also really like the shrubs and grasses growing on the roof. It also gives me an idea for future contest!

If this were a pure photography contest, this would have certainly taken first! The actual place is big time worthy of the top 3 though. This bit of seaside fortress is just awesome. Even in the foreground, you can see some old walkway stones or something, slowing getting swallowed up by the sea.
