Even if the government is eliminated, who will the next authority be?
Who will be the next to rule over us, and ensure our oppression and obedience, while lying to us and stealing our money?
Of course, we already know. Whoever calls themselves a god, or claims to speak for a god.
That would be the most powerful, popular religions: Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, and any others that attempt to gain power and influence over society.
When it comes to state or religion, I say both institutions must burn.
The Christian Europeans took over all of South America, Latin America, and North America, and utterly converted or genocided every single group of people already living there, back in those early days of colonialism.
Tyranny.
Requerimiento.
They beheaded the leader of Inca, just for being a leader there. Murder.
Can we blame this on people?
Or on a god? Of course we don't blame a god.
God simply doesn't exist. The entire thing is made up to control people, embellished by the church, but invented by mad traveling prophets of the ancient desert.
A panopticon god with a list of rules. Always watching, always judging, to ensure obedience, even when you're alone.
A pyramid scheme structure to the church, and with a singular master who makes all the rules, can do magic, and is never wrong. Yahweh, who plays the role of the wise king that you must obey, lest you suffer.
Utter fabrications.
Of course most of the morals are decent. On the surface, it does make sense. If you agree with not murdering people, not stealing from them, and not raping people, then you already believe in a lot of what most religions say.
And what most non-religious people think too. These morals are natural to humans. The only ones murdering are desperate people, or those driven by religious or political fervor. War.
But then it gets monstrous.
What allowed the Christian Nazis to justify holocausting the Jews in the 1940's? Simple.
Christians aren't allowed to freely trade money for profit. But the Jews could.
Currency exchange for profit is a thing Jesus cracked a whip over, right? I know the stories, and respect them, yet, many of us are currency traders and investors here, so we understand the feeling of making money, while others do the coding, the working, and the labor.
Profit without hard-work. Of course they might change the story to say "No trading in church," but the moral only makes sense if you say "Profit without work is wrong."
Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism, and Luthernism, wrote a book titled this: "On the Jews, and their lies." Von den Jüden und iren Lügen. Do you think that could be part of it?
When (most) of the morals are good, and there's a happy end for believers, but a very bad end for those who don't believe or obey, the viral aspect is revealed.
It leads believers to convert others, not with proof or evidence, but with cult mythology instead. Fear of hell for their friends and neighbors would cause a Christian to try to convert others, to save them.
I still remember the huge creationist debates that happened years ago. Of course that got pounded into the ground, but oh how they tried to usurp knowledge, and brainwash the children with cult mythology, portrayed as if it was true. It's lessened, so that religion doesn't seem so obviously made up and untrue, yet, that's what it was. What changed? Less mythology?
The only direction which makes sense with that trend is this: The less religious belief you have, and the less mythology you believe, the closer you are towards something true.
Yet even today, who among us was in a church before they reached age 18? Who was being taught religion as if it was true while a child? I was. I know the mythology. I know the prayers. I know the feeling of faith, and I'd never want any of it back after what I've learned from my heretical studies, attempting to study the same documents that priests would read to learn how to be a ruler of a church, and brainwash the surrounding community.
Anyone who doesn't believe and go to church was shunned, and called evil, not because they are evil, but because it would dismantle the faith. Heretics and disbelievers would be burned to death. Not because they are evil, but because they are a threat to authority, be it political or religious.
Things are different now, I suppose, yet, were you in a church as a child? Instead of growing up going to church, if you had only nature to look at, would you believe in religion, or just in nature, and what you see with your eyes?
Why look beyond what you see, when there is so much to see, and so much to do, right before you?
There is more to do in life than can ever be done.
But it seems when you eliminate religion, as the Russians tried to do, humans tend to still want authority. So they go to government instead.
It's not as if government schools and our society aren't brainwashing children already, so when it comes down to it, humans are controlled by three or more forces.
Religion, state, and society. All must end, because all have the same goal: Conformity and obedience, and to steal from us, and brainwash our children. These people are strangers, and they made up a god or rules that I would not know about, had they not spoken it.
Instead of hearing their lies, I would rather instead see only the truth of nature and reality.
To eliminate religion, you don't attack religion.
You kill God.
I absolutely agree that humans would be better off if they were more skeptical regarding religions generally and claims about the needs and desires of gods specifically. However, I think in the modern world, where irrationality and barbarity persist despite a growing body of atheists, I think the real danger is blind allegiance to authorities coupled with - as you hinted at throughout - a lack of a reasoned moral code. In an era where subscription to religion is based more on voluntary interactions than on peer pressure, the other two pillars you mention: the state and society become far more important determinants of injustice. I praise you for keeping up the good fight by inspiring philosophical discussions. The manner in which we arrive at morality and what that morality is are ever more important as people mature in a world with ever proliferating amounts of information.

So what's the point, if everything must burn?

anything with a beginning is determined from outside itself. You might think you are determining yourself, but there is something before you that caused you, thus it determines you.

It doesn't matter.
Cause and effect based reality enforces determinism.
There is no problem with this at all.
Everything is fine.

Great post. I was raised as a good Catholic schoolboy, know their prayers and dance their crazy dances. At the age of 7 we celebrate the murder of Egyptian kids. Kids? What the actual fuck? Yeah, I guess it's okay to murder kids if it's in the bible.
That aside, the deeper questions that you ask, if we eliminated all authority who would the next be? It's something I ask myself. It is written in our DNA to either be a leader or a follower. Get a group of humans together who have never met before and by nightfall a leader will have emerged. It's a commonality in group dynamics. I wonder how one could lead safely.
The test of true character is to have no rules, nothing, you can do whatever you want and can get away with it no questions asked, and still tow the line and live by your morals. I've yet to see this happen realistically.
I debate with myself these questions often and I never answer any of them. I keep going round in circles haha

I'm a writer-poet-philosopher-scientist and thus, naturally a leader type, not by force, but by wisdom.
In a natural, tribal setting, I would become a shaman sort of person, and here in the modern world, I would either be a politician or defensive lawyer, or even scientist or engineer, and I would very likely have a lot of power.
However, I would be a leader that would protect freedom, rather than the opposite. I would prevent other leaders from rising up and removing personal freedom from people.
However, my kind has failed regarding this, perhaps because I am not willing to go to such violent means to enforce my will upon others.
I only use my voice, or a pen.
I suppose that's why I'm here, and not in power, but alas, Earth society is too big to influence with words alone. You need propaganda, and to control the schools, so that you can brainwash the children.
Not exactly favorable, when your audience is brainwashed to obey certain authorities, but reject ideas like personal freedom.
I already live as if no law existed. I live in a land far from the USA style police state that has everyone in two political parties, all afraid of each other, and obedient to the church or state.
In my land, I can do as I please, because we're very spread out, and we don't have violent police. I could do whatever I wanted.
But I only do what I think is right. I would never violate my ethical code.
I have too much honor to ever do a thing that would disgrace my own pride and honor. I live by my rules, yes, but my rules are fair and decent, I think.
I only want the best for humanity, and for myself, and hurting a person, animal, plant, or fungi, without a just cause to it, is not something I can tolerate.
All things must be respected, including myself, so ones ethical code must be extremely strong, even if invented by that very person.

This is what people forget. We talk about authority and laws and how they restrict our freedoms. How Politicians actively go out of their ways to restrict our freedoms whilst gaining more of theirs. It's hard to watch, but one must try to understand their mentality to respect the forces that are moving them. To oppose by force is wrong in my opinion because then morals and ethics become skewed and the lines between good and bad become blurred. Both parties start to look similar shades rather than opposites.
It's the system that's at fault in my opinion. It's the system that allows people to get away with x, y and z, if there was no way to do such a thing then people wouldn't do it. Like you said, it was only 70 years ago that Jews were executed in the streets like dogs in Nazi Germany and not many stood up for it. If you can get away with it, leaders do it.
I also love how you said "Christian" Nazis because it's widely disputed that Hitler was an Atheist, and you can't find Hitlers Christianty anywhere on Google, but, my wife has lived in Germany for eight years, talked to survivors of the war and it was very Christianity led.

Martin Luther, the one who formed Protestantism and Luthernism was German, and influenced German culture with his views.
He spoke of 'Locking Jews in their synagogues and burning them alive.'
Go check out Martin Luther's Wikipedia article. It's rather unsavory.

religions are hopium... I go by Natural Laws, principles that man cannot bend, bypass or ignore. They are immutable and embedded in the fabric of the cosmos. That was already known 4000 years ago.
There are 7 principles deriving from Electricity/Light, itself holding the cosmos together. The synapses of our brain being connected by Electricity/Light, the 7 principles rule even over our thoughts. It is the merging of physics and spirituality. And this is not good news for atheists and theists alike. Man made dogmas are the problem.

Let's try to be reasonable here.
I think you need to take a step back, and think about what dogma means, and why "7 principles" sounds rather curious and dogmatic.
Fact-check yourself, and remember that it is very easy to be fooled, but very difficult to accept that you are wrong. I have been wrong many times, and I will be in the future, and so it is with great respect that I must comment as to the fact that I think you are wrong, or have some facts wrong, or have simply heard wrong information, or perhaps heard true information that was misused to make untrue things sound true.

what sounds dogmatic? saying that electricity holds the cosmos together and organizes Thought because electricity wanders our synapses? All proven scientifically today? And that light has specific properties, such as duality, being a particle and wave? Male and female are dual, everything has its opposite. Or polarity which is recurrent in political thinking (divide and conquer for example)... or the law of cause and effect, without light no life, our present actions determine the future? Ever heard: what goes around comes around which is in fact, the Principle of Rhythm such as ocean tides, life cycles follow a pendulum.... And it has been also proven that every particle has a vibration, the principle of vibration is the 2nd most important and represents too the ability to voice/speak. Sound therapy is today getting lots of attention. Yes, there are 2 other ones, the law of gender important for mating and the understanding of the left brain (male) and right brain (female)... the Law of Correspondence or holographic principle: the micro and macro are alike.... and finally the Principle of Mentalism, that thinking is the beginning of everything, we create our own reality, matter is the result of A Mind, the Cosmic Mind... We cannot bend, bypass nor ignore them, they rule over society and the human mind.
Nothing dogmatic here but observation of Nature and its immutable laws. Where do you think the word enLIGHTenment comes from? Seeing the Light?
You say so because you are unaware that the topic is 4000 years old... yes, humans have been hidden the truth for that long. Natural Laws prove that the Universe is 1) conscious and 2) that we must evolve in sync with it.
since ever politics and dogmas have exploited the Principles of Mentalism, Polarity, Correspondence and Rhythm to control and manipulate the masses

None of that makes sense, and many facts there are simply wrong.
I think you are in a new age cult, and have been lied to or brainwashed.
Please don't disagree mindlessly. You are talking about new age spiritual things, and it reads like "two truths and a lie."
Some of it might match what is true, but then you keep going off into what I can only call utter madness and cult speak.
You need to do some research, because this is incredibly difficult to understand in the first place. You are a mortal, evolved human, and your comprehension of the universe is severely lacking, just as all people's are, however, you are saying things as if you knew more than you do.
I will not be able to discuss things with you until you do more research, and understand that you are in a cult, and you have been taught wrong facts, or if they are right, you are failing to explain them in a logical manner.
I will be objective here, and tell you that all together, everything you said up there, if taken all at the same time: It is wrong.
You are simply incorrect, and your view of the universe is wrong. There are too many things you said that are illogical or dogmatic up there for me to even begin.
You are in a cult, and this is obvious to me, because I am not in that cult, therefor, I see it for what it is.

Since when Physics is new age? ... the properties of light/electricity are what they are, man didn't invent them and they hold the universe together, they are immutable. Even Plato endorsed them. Do some research. Turn on your TV and start observing all the "divide and rule" in the world before saying that I am in a cult. The Universe is alive and is governed by laws. We do not invent anything but discover... I can see why atheists have a problem with the notion of a conscious universe, and just like the theists hate the idea that physics mathematically proves spirituality
It is amusing somehow to witness the reaction of people when proposing the merging of science and spirituality: you are new age. Atheists and theists agree. Talk of a divide and conquer (Law of Polarity)
....rest assured, no cult on my end but the quest for enlightenment. Have a great day and I look forward to your basic income article.

This is what you are talking about, and this is a religious cult.
I am extremely serious about this topic, and do a lot of research.
There are many things in this world that seem true, but are not true, and these things do not seem true to me. They could contain wisdom or some truth, but I think that it is taking things too far, and turning into a cult.
These ideas have a fascinating history, and they are not all bad, but I do not think we can consider them truth.
Let me ask you this: Will they hold up to the scientific method?

try to disprove that everything doesn't spin and vibrate... from the cell to the galaxies, micro and macro are same... the law of vibration is correct... try to disprove that electricity (erlectro-magnetism) does hold the Universe together and that electricity does connect our synapses... try to disprove that life doesnt evolve in cycles, in seasons or like ocean tides, I am waiting. yet people say history repeat itself.
Atheism stance is childlike: life just came out of nothing ;) Natural ancient sciences are proven by modern physics, so yes the ancients civilizations had a better grasp about the Universe, Natural Laws.
You will have to get used to it because this very knowledge with a capital K is making a come back in a huge way.
Electricity govern your thinking... you are a miniature version of the cosmos ;)

A person in a cult does not know they are in a cult. They think that the things they have been taught are true.
But to a person outside a cult, it is very obvious.
If you are unable to use the resources I sent you to realize that you are believing in things that are partially true but partially false, then you will go about your life believing whatever you wish to believe.

I think it was Voltaire who said something along the lines of; We shall not be free, until the last King has been hung with the entrails of the last priest.
As you opined religion has been a source of great evil in our recent history, and a justification for blatant racism and xenophobia. From Martin Luther, to Joseph Smith, to Adolf Hitler, all of these people used religious justification for their horrific acts and thoughts.
Unfortunately, in a modern setting, religion is often benign, or at least has a benign face, which allows its proliferation through seemingly innocent rituals, and indoctrination of the young.
I have often wondered what would "kill god", and I think there are only 2 things which could do it.
Once we can upload our consciousnesses to a mainframe, rendering us practically immortal - Fear of death would slowly evaporate, and thus the need for a comforting afterlife.
Aliens landing on the planet and confirming that they had never heard of any of our gods, thus proving they were completely anthropomorphic.
Although, I think number 1 would have a more lasting effect :-)
