Thousands of people have been in Budapest the last 8 days to watch the World Athletics Championships. It has been a fantastic event and I was lucky enough myself to even watch one of the evening programs myself at the arena. It was a fantastic atmosphere and I am really happy that I got the chance to be there.
Are you happy as well? But, are you still in Budapest? Don't you have to travel back home immediately? If you are still located in Budapest, you should definitely check out the Downtown Beer Festival in Budapest that will open on Tuesday, that is on August 29th. You can read more about the festival at https://www.hungarybudapestguide.com/events/downtown-beer-festival/.
It is a great place to taste all sorts of beers (approximately 250 types will be there available for tasting). The festival area is free to visit, but if you want to taste the beer at the festival, you need to buy the official festival glass which costs about 3500 HUF.
There are many other events in Budapest as well. Next weekend, between September 1-3, there will be a wine and sparking wine festival in Budafok, one of the districts in Budapest. This is a festival packed with locals, meaning there will be few tourists and lots of locals. As a result, the prices are better, and you will get a very authentic Hungarian feeling if you decide to visit this festival.
