From Plato's Critias:
“Also there were fountains of hot and cold water, and suitable buildings surrounding them, and trees, and there were baths both of the kings and of private individuals, and separate baths for women, and also for cattle. The water from the baths was carried to the grove of Poseidon, and by aqueducts over the bridges to the outer circles. ”

The description of fountains of hot water probably is related to the proximity of hot springs, which exist in volcanic lands, such as the Andes mountains, Iceland or Indonesia.
The combination of a volcanic land with the earthquakes, floods and "sinking into the sea" (see my post https://steemit.com/atlantis/@marcusantoniu26/atlantis-myth-or-truth-4) speaks of a land prone to tsunamis and tectonically very active.
