(36.94) Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh, 7 jawans killed
Six jawans of security forces killed in Chhattisgarh again in Maoist attack Two more jawans were injured. The incident happened on Saturday in the village of Cholarar in Dantewada district of the state.
According to police sources, at around 11 am this morning, an armed police officer of the state police was conducting routine searches in a vehicle on the road to Cholanar village. At that time the Maoists blast Improvised Explosive Device (IED). The car explodes in the blast. Six jawans died on the spot.
After the explosion, the Maoists escaped with five automatic weapons from the jawans. A huge force of CRPF reached the spot on the spot. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Raipur by rescue helicopter.
