Leave it to me to instinctively choose the exact moment when not just Steem but cryptocurrency at large decides to fall off a cliff to voraciously triple down on my efforts to establish a foothold among the tumbling rubble. Despite that, I consider my experiment a success...even though I’m not thrilled with the results or conclusions. I’ve gleaned clarity and that’s always a success.
So what did I accomplish?
- I followed through and stuck to my overarching plan, albeit with some revisions
- I made some wonderful connections and discovered some talented people
What did I learn?
- I discovered that many of my illusions about Steemit were bordering on delusions
- I realized that if I want to succeed here, I’ll need to play the game as it is, not as I idealistically wish it to be
- I accepted that Steemit is a longterm investment; I cannot view it otherwise and succeed
Now I need to ruminate over all of this and decide what I’m willing to do and where I want to focus my time and energy.
Ha ha ha nice way of putting it, not everyone is going to except with open arms a creative outrageous bubbly soul like your's. I had to rain my humour in, otherwise i could get use to the site of a flag on every post.
I have only been on steemit for a short time and with so many fish in a bowl you have to sort through and decide who you want to swim with.
This wont always be the right selection because some want to drown you with boredom, some want to attach to you like a parasite. But at the end of the day you have to swim with the school, because if you want to be different like a colourful beautiful parrot fish then you will swim alone and who is going to see you to appreciate your specialities.
This does not mean you have to dumb down, restrict, hide, or muzzle your personality, just choose the fish in the school to swim with that enjoy you for who you are.
Nice post.
I was dissolution as well, and I am still trying to find my feet. I get that it's an opportunity for me to broaden out and learn personally by bouncing of others. I will start to increase art exposure and put some original music up and challenge myself.

I feel identified by your post, my concern is worse for having just three months in Steemit. I keep giving my best, without knowing what to say in return.

March was a brutal month, that's for sure. My suggestion to you is to keep working on here, grow your reputation score and you interactions. I am upbeat about the coming changes and I don't suggest giving up. Maybe look at joining curation groups?
