The human audio bandwidth is between 20 hertz-20 kilo hertz, yes we are pretty limited.
Lows Freq 20hz-100hz, Low mids 100hz-650hz, high mids 650hz-1000hz, and highs 1khz-20hz are not even close to evenly distributed across the sound field. Just know when editing vocals its going to be bucket eq that will be my first approach to the audio, Usually you will want to minus before you add in the mix!
