As a kid, I would always hear my dad listening to Audioslave. In his room, while he was cooking, while we were driving somewhere. At that certain point in my life, Chris Cornell's voice was very familiar to me. I loved this album whenever I heard. The band was so beautiful hardcore, the kind of wave of music that hypes you up and makes you want to headbang like a mad man. The perfection of the band mixed with the vocals of Rock legend Chris Cornell was a beautiful mix, and honestly, one of my favorite bands of all time.

SONGS THAT STAND OUT:

#2 Show Me How To Live
Obviously, the instruments are strung together to perfection, like they are in every other song, but the magic of Chris Cornell makes this song what it is. Classic. In this song, from my understanding, Chris is acknowledging that his creator, who ever that may be, gave him a life, and in desperation he is shouting at this creator, demanding to show him how it is he is suppose to live his life. A question many of us may ponder on from time to time.

#4 What You Are
Anyone who has been in a crazy relationship that they couldn't wait to get out of can really relate to this song here. If you listen close, you can hear Chris speaking about how he keeps giving and giving to a woman who only wants more and more, obviously driving him crazy. This song is his, bittersweet anthem of freedom. He's free from what she was to him. And don't it feel good.

#5 Like A Stone
This song really stood out to me, because I feel like I've been in this position before. From what I've gathered myself, this song is about waiting for someone, someone special, no matter how long it takes. Like A Stone. For long awaited love.

#6 Set It Off
This song is just pure badass. Not exactly sure if this song has a meaning other than hyping you up and a good motivation song for possibly working out, or just going crazy to. Every time I hear this song I can't help but to bang my head like a mad man.

Rest In Peace to Chris Cornell. You will be missed by the millions of fans you adore your music.
