Elice Craig for Mutya ng Australia 2018

One of my first client projects for the year since returning on my annual overseas trip was filming and photographing an intro reel for Elice whom is competing for the Mutya ng Australia 2018 beauty pagent. It was a last minute rush job for the client consisting of an afternoon of filming and two days of editing.
This is also my first post since returning and also my first or maybe second Dtube upload after failed attempts last year to use it.
The Philippines seem to love holding beauty pagents and I probably be the wrong one to tell you more about this particular one as I don't know too much about it except the Sydney part gets held in the annual Sydney Filipino Fiesta and our winner Elice is now competing for National finals held in Melbourne. Lets wish her luck.

My primary specialty is photography but have been more recently dabbling in creating videos so I would like to share a little breakdown on how it was made.

Cameras: Canon 5DMIII with 24-105mm f4L & 70-200mm f2.8L IS.

Audio: Rode Video Mic with Deadcat
Light Modifer: Silver reflector (5in1)

The filming and especially the speech was done in several takes and then put together in Adobe Premiere along with her BRoll to help tell the story.
The licenced background music tracks were sourced from www.Artlist.io and then additional audio work was done in Adobe Audition. Being in the city during summer there is so much ambient sounds and probably the worse being loud cicadas. These I had to attempt to bring down and bring focus to her voice with the background music to set the mood. Most of its easier then said especially the audio aspects but in the end was pretty happy with the results.
